Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The combination of Rio being all chavvy, Henry with his creepy french smut, pelanty and consummate ease, and Shearer grinning like a half-wit is enough to make me puke.

I've no idea what's in store for me here in Africa.

Townsend is insufferable as a commentator and Chiles struggles badly to keep things ticking over between questions.

Expecting the same old nonsense on RTE with Dunphy pinpointing what the rest of them think and then saying the opposite so as to cause a row :pac:

Thought Seedorf was excellent when he did the 2010 WC and the BBC's commentary is probably the best, plus there's no ads.

Will be watching the games on BBC and then RTE when the BBC don't have them.

I'd rather stream an England game with the commentary in a foreign language than suffer through 90 mins of Townsend's clichés.

He looks like, and provides as insightful comment as, a border collie ;)

I only watch ITV when I really have to - they have the worst commentators, presenter, analysts, co-commentators etc. Awful awful coverage.

I resent that remark my two collies are much more intelligent than Robbie Savage  :D

Malaria? Never heard of him. I see Ryan Giggs will be one of the pundits here.

RTE for me anyway. Wonder if they'll have Denis Irwin back on. Really enjoyed him last time out.

I might switch over to BBC/ITV if England lose to see the outrage. :pac:

it's always good to see Dunphy lay in the kicks to England when they are down :pac:

I think ITV is far worse then BBC when it comes to that, that's why Roy Keane was a breath of fresh air when he was there for 2012 Euro's, any silly talk about England from the English pundits and Roy took them down to size. It's scary how it's going to be now Roy's not there.

BBC ain't as bad to be fair. they will criticise the team the last two tournaments and there's not much silly talk from Gary Linkelar as their is from Adrian Chiles.

    I always watch RTE.

But when england play, and inevitably lose, you have to switch to the beeb to see the reaction.

I'm hoping 5Live commentary is an option on the red button for bbc matches. No commentary comes close to them, imo.

Gotta say I like Jim Beglin in the commentary box. There I said it

There are 6 (I think) red buttons now live as the commonwealth games approach, I imagine they'll use a couple for alternative comms and maybe no comms at all.

If they are not on your EPG you can add them

Go on,, Go on..take him on..Its well known that Townsend is the most annoying commentator in the game

I don't know, Niall Quinn is a pretty annoying cnut.

And the award for the most annoying pundit already goes to Ian Wright, 'over there is the Sugar Loaf Mountain, why is it called the Sugar Loaf, I don't know maybe it's because it's shaped like a Sugar Loaf' brilliant research there Ian, switching over to RTE.

RTÉ should stop talking about the protests. Dunphy and co haven't a clue what the are talking about and it's outside the remit of this show. Leave it to the people who know what they are doing.

Looks like there's a lot of empty seats. I'm sure it'll be full for the match but it must be a bit **** for the people putting on the show to a half empty stadium.

Opening ceremony is pretty poor alright. Atmosphere would be a lot better if it was done with a full stadium and when it is dark.
