Did you ever watch Destina? :)

Yaaay!! I was looking up Dali and his weirdness earlier on, and there was this really good article entitled "10 bizarre facts about Dali" ,you should have a look it (if you haven't already). Actually I'm not sure if you'll find it haha

As in the song Destina? but if it's not the song then no I haven't watched it :P

Guys is 4 pages long enough for each question? and would diagrams be included in that or separate to the 4 pages?

3-4 including sketches but it depends on the marking scheme

Same :/ Looking over the papers the questions can range from extremely broad to ridiculously specific like ' talk about art work during pre christian ireland referring to atleast two tombs youve studied' or 'talk about a painting by michaelangelo of relgiious subject matter and compare it to another artist of that same timeframe'

Especially this year with them trying to make it less predictable...
Should I be covered with stone bronze Iron Age or should I do something on early Christian/high crosses?

That restoration question last year was good. What are the chances we'll see something like that again? :(

    Whats everyone doing for appreciation?

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 26,403 Mod ✭✭✭✭Peregrine

Just any sort of design, hopefully. Product design hasn't come up in 2 years, Industrial or something similar would do too.

Archtectural restoration would be nice, if it comes up.

    I'm hopeless at gallery questions.

    National gallery of Ireland :pac:
Depending on the other two sections I talk about Le Brocquy's "A Family" Yeats' "Grief" and Picasso's "Still Life with a Mandolin" :P

It looks like theres much more choice than there actually is though:( Like theres about 8 questions but usually we've only covered about half of those topics at school or less! god they better not ask the gallery question in an obscure way Im banking on that question to hitch up my sh!te grade

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 26,403 Mod ✭✭✭✭Peregrine

It's true. There is so much choice but we wouldn't have even covered half of them :(

    Well, I'm off.

If you open the paper don't see Casino Marino, Castletown and terraces houses, Impressionism(Renoir and Monet) and Product Design, spare a thought for the lazy idiot Nimrod who now has to bull**** his way through a whole exam :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,971 ✭✭✭✭peekachoo

    Dali & Bosch
    newgrange
    giotto

If people did any way decent in the practical and life drawing then they shouldnt worry about passing.

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 26,403 Mod ✭✭✭✭Peregrine

That serious lack of product design was depressing :(

1st 2 sections were fair enough, but that gallery question... :/

I swear I was the only one doing art in my school. I was the only one in my classroom and when I left there was absolutely NOBODY in the school

Castletown and post impressionism questions were lovely, didn't really like the gallery question though, ran out of time at the end as well, but overall it was a nice paper :)
