Maybe it's the video / YouTube or phone im watching it on but did you put a diesel engine in it ?

Or did it calm down after a while when oil etc got around ? (Most likely)

With it all been fresh i wouldnt rev the crap out of it straight away... gentle first !

Well, having ****ed up my foot hurling this morning, I needed some cheering up and seeing a saab 900 restored and back in action has done that.

On behalf of SAAB lovers everywhere, thank you. I really enjoyed this thread.

Next question is what are your plans for her?

In a pub in Limerick now and explained to a few friends that some lad on boards from Kildare that I don't even know who was clueless about cars a year ago brought a 900 back to life. Myself and the lads agree that it deserves a tip of a cap. Fair play man

In fairness though I couldn't have done any of it without you guys helping me out and a few others on other forums, even yourself with helping with the wiring, I'd no clue of that until i asked yourself so we all deserve a tip!

    Go team! :pac:

Small little update, The rocker cover is leaking a small amount of oil onto the exhaust manifold and burning it, so I'm gona try find the time to crack the rocker cover off again, reseal it, and hopefully that's that took care of :)

    Arise thread!

I FINALLY got the brakes bled, I might need to do it again though just to be safe, went to do the master cylinder and no joy, turns out it needs to be pressurized to get the fluid in :o a job for another day

I also got the bonnet back on but it won't close, and the release won't release, some jiggery pokery was needed to reopen it
