Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If we win tomorow are we gauranteed top spot? Or do we need a draw or something in the next match?

We can be beaten to top on head to head only but would require to lose our next 2games.

Assuming schalke win tonight and we win and we lost to sporting and schalke.

Boro battering Norwich at the mo and look set to join Bournemouth on 30 points on the top of the championship, Paddy Bamford got the opening goal he also opened the scoring against Rotherham the weekend.

Arsenal 3 up and now its 3-3.

    Jaysus.

Arsenal really sweet going forward really dodgy defence.

After suffering through that Madrid game would certainly hold Costa back for Saturday

    I'd probably suggest here.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=896

And maybe check the Liverpool side of it.

Failing that, you might get lucky on Twitter, numerous Chelsea Ticket places to check out.

    Chelsea_ticket
    ChelseaTickets

    They might have something.

If we had taken one of our 4,057 chances against Schalke we could have played the youngsters tonight in slovenia, alas it wasnt to be.

Zouma and Ake are the most likely to play and Brown and Solanke could feature at some stage.

Solanke is playing for the U19s at the minute. They were 5-0 up vs Maribor at half time.

the youngsters are having a good time of it at the moment , 6-0 up into the 2nd half away to maribor

6-0 now, Solanke subbed off at half time.

If we're 6-0 tonight at half time we should just call the 2nd half off.

Get home a bit earlier. :pac:

Pity im working so ill miss the game, anyone have an idea how potentially we could line up?

From joses presser its going to be a strong team, he suggested as strong as possible.

If i was to guess what I'd expect,

    Cech
    Azp Cahill JT Luis
    Matic Cesc
    Willian Oscar Hazard
    Costa

Although the team could easily feature, Zouma, Christensen, Ramires, Salah, Schurrle, Drogba.

Make changes once the game is wrapped up.

I reckon the team will be:

    Cech
    Ivan-Zouma-Terry-Luis
    Matic-Fab
    Ramires-Willian-Hazard
    Costa

Salah could come in for Ramires. I think Oscar will be rested.

Its hard to guess the team but thats a good thing, shows we've got good options to play even if our strongest XI doesnt.

I love the line he uses "Once you go a goal down against them it's virtually impossible" I think it's a great compliment of sorts and surprised a player like Suarez to have that attitude of basically that the game was lost when we scored first that day.

He mentions Chelsea had a chance of winning the title and should have played to win? But they went on to win stupid statement.

The criticism such as our team parked the bus was nonsense we had nothing to defend even a draw and Liverpool were still in driving seat in title race, if anything Liverpool should have parked the bus and was a stubborn approach to go all out.

To be fair, I remember that game well and the Chelsea players were clearly time wasting from the very start. Seven minutes into the game and I remember a throw in near the corner flag taking forever. Jose is a clever chap, they were sent out with instructions. This was during the period where Liverpool were blitzing teams at the start of the game. Slowing everything down was a good idea.

He has tried similar tactics with Madrid. I remember one game where Ramos took over 90 seconds on a free kick and got booked on purpose.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Zouma, Terry, Filipe Luis, Fabregas, Matic, Schurrle, Willian, Hazard, Drogba.

Chelsea Subs: Courtois, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Ramires, Oscar, Salah, Diego Costa.

True although Ramos never needed Mourinho to initiate tactics like that, he was one of the players who gladly held the Bernabeu exit door open for him too.
