Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got to love some of the Sky commentators - I 100% guarantee if Buxton was from a non English speaking country they would have called that a completely deserved red card, "can't do that, no place in our game" and so on...

For the defender? Seems a bit harsh, thought it was for the keeper.

Remy dragged him and he dragged remy but didnt let go, thats what got him the red, iMO

Nah, if the linesman seen Remy he would have been booked and there'd be no incident but he done it on the blindside, the CBs was more blatant and in his eyeline so he got sent off, it was the right call but it should have been a free out before hand, IMO.

I'd actually have preferred Soton, championship clubs always seem to give us a good game.

The other quarter finals have 4 good teams too in it so Sheff Utd would be the best bet.

Why do the media get carried away with things like this?

    http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/30509836

Nobody in there right mind thinks we can win 4 trophies  any one that would suggest such should go get a health check.

I'd take the EPL and everything else would be a bonus.

For tonight I'd like to see Bournemouth get through and for them to draw Sheff Utd to ensure one of them are in the final against an EPL side would be a great day out for the fans and in a one off game anything can happen.

Liverpool have a tricky match tonight theyve Arsenal at the weekend, another loss then leaves top 4 chances in ruin, IMO but they should be over turning Bournemouth but it wont be a stroll, much like we found out last night.

Really really really hope Steve Clarke does well at Reading. Perfect club for him in my opinion. Think he could build something special there to be honest.

Is Abramovich isolated from the Russian economy? You'd have to hope so.

Is Abramovich isolated from the Russian economy? You'd have to hope so.

He would be, his private investment firm would have interests all over the world. Gazprom is massive and has been largely unaffected by the crisis in Russia and his steel business which he is massively invested in is actually somehow seeing strong growth in a turbulent economy.

Roman is too cute to let a crumbling ruble affect his net worth, I imagine any money he had tied up in it was exchanged for euro's or dollars 6 months before the crisis started.

Saw a slow-mo replay of the Zouma incident there, you can actually see the tooth flying out midair :o

It was Cech's metal plated head that did the damage.

Once sanctions were muted would have thought any Russian with pull changed. That being said Putin makes the right noises and it will all go away fairly quick, West needs Russian oil, gas, iron and nickel to name just a bit.

I don't believe it Faroze is no more how dreadful is that.

Here is a little Lundberg compilation of the first half of the season, have to say non too shabby will be even better when everyone gets settled in.

Been reported for a while that will be pleased when it is announced by the club it is done and dusted we can forget about the lure of Madrid for a few years at least then.

An early Chelsea christmas present, good news.

The sooner its all wrapped up the better, hes the cataylst to which the team should be built around and its a modest increase the main thing is to sign him down to a longer stay.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Sure Andre, its everyones fault but your own : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/11299475/Chelsea-news-Andre-Villas-Boas-says-Roman-Abramovich-attitude-cost-him-Stamford-Bridge-job.html

I had high hopes for AVB and it times we played some nice stuff but we were as solid as wet tissue under him, who remembers that suicidal high line and arsenal winning 5-3 at the Bridge, it was a crazy game.

Also being 3-0 down at half time at Old Trafford, another great AVB moment, it took his sacking for the club to go and win the UCL, with him at the helm, there was no way we'd have beaten Napoli at the Bridge, if we had we'd have been murdered by Barca in the semi final.
