Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Interesting pre match interview with big Sam when asked why he has made changes to the team, we play arsenal in 48 hours and I've changed the system

Oscars having a nightmare another terrible touch.

We need a goal to calm us down. I like the urgency about our play but it also seems a bit anxious. Oscar and hazard need to relax a bit more when they're on the ball. If things continue this way, we could give them a proper hammering.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Cahill misses a sitter too straight at the keeper ffs

Weve missed two easy chances already its not going well where it counts

Great performance on another day it could have been 6 or 7 hazard was superb, deserved a goal or 2 . Costa's goal was great 3 defenders sold by the turn

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Ya hazard costa and matic done very well today.

Cesc played well too. Pulled strings from deep.

Adrian made 2 or 3 great saves. Another day its doublr that score line as we missed a sitter or two as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Newcastle have been terrible since the beat us.

Typical of them really. Get up for one or two games, play well and fall apart.

Always happens with them. Im confident we'll batter them at home too.

everyone has won so far lads.

    City, Utd, Pool, Spurs, Southampton.

No points gained on anyway important, other than West Ham

Arsenal kicking off soon, they'll win too, all the top teams have had a good boxing day

Chelsea's fixtures have been the toughest out of all the teams at the top, between Stoke (a), WHU (h), Southampton (a) and Spurs (a). So if they are still top after all these games, I'll be delighted as it'll be a bigger achievement than it will look, even if everyone else keeps winning as well.

He may not have lived up to his transfer fee but he did try so very hard when playing with us and we'll always have Barcelona :)

Ya next two games are huge.

If we manage 4 points or more itll be a huge result.

we could be 2nd in 2 games times and be 3 pts behind city if we f**k up so getting a win somewhere is huge.

Tough fixtures, staying ahead of City is a must. Our fixtures in the second half of the season look a lot kinder than City's though.

Ya when weve got spurs and soton out of the way our last "tough" away game is arsenal.

Thats everyone from last years top 7 and all but arsenal and west ham played away played away after 20games.

    Thats brilliant.

Spurs also have Utd on the 28th and us on the 1st so hopefully Utd thump them.

    Soften them up :pac:

I honestly expect us to be 2nd after the next two games

Weve got southampton and spurs away.

City have burnely and sunderland at home, a gimme 6 points.

I'm not a Chelsea fan but Diego Costa is an admirable player.

    World Class.

Scolari is a muppet to have told him to F off instead of Fred and Jo.

I'd take a point tomorrow but I'd be expecting 3 from white hart lane. They can't cope with us.

Odd bit of news, considering the links to elsewhere and the fact that he's only scored once for Milan.

But at least it's over, finally.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭Skylinehead

According to SSN, and the Chelsea website, he's going to Milan on a permanent basis from Jan 5th.

    http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2014/12/torres-makes-milan-move-permanent.html
Only so Milan and Atletico can do a permanent swap deal with Torres and Cerci, I think.

Unless there's some convoluted deal where Milan buy Torres, loan him to Atleti and take Cerci back from Atleti on loan?

Otherwise, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Soton have really faded against the serious opposition. I fully expect Jose to give them due respect, organise well and take the three points. Our generally sound Three Point Lane record is due to come undone at some point. But not this time round.

I think Jose's going to give the January run his full attention, and keep the nose well ahead of City. That's the best way to make them drop points, and lose morale if/when they drop out of the UCL at the next hurdle.

Been quiet for a while (and reached 1000 posts in the meantime) but very happy with the performances recently, hoping for more of the same tomorrow! Particularity impressed by Oscar the other day, workrate right back up and moving into more dangerous positions instead of sitting safe most of the time... Also continuing to be unimpressed by cahill exactly, really needs to step up his game imo
