Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good year top of the league. Strikers who can score and rid of Torres soon and his wages. playing good football with arsenal out of the running already. Roll on tomorrow and hopefully 3 more points.

Been quiet for a while (and reached 1000 posts in the meantime) but very happy with the performances recently, hoping for more of the same tomorrow! Particularity impressed by Oscar the other day, workrate right back up and moving into more dangerous positions instead of sitting safe most of the time... Also continuing to be unimpressed by cahill exactly, really needs to step up his game imo

Yeah thought Oscar was excellent, he was everywhere. He always comes back strong after a rest. Hope he starts tomorrow.

Also delighted, first game I'll get to watch live in a while because I'm not working :D

From £50m to a free transfer. That has to be close to the biggest drop in value from one transfer to the next in the history of world football.

We shipped a big loss there. But we got away with it. We made other better investments though, whose ships have come in at just the right time - i.e. for Jose's return.

No oscar even on the bench ?

Thought he'd start when he got taken off early against West Ham

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Soton have a 19yr old debutant at LB hes gonna need a big game to stop schurrle

    Poor start.

Sluggish. Fixture pile up could cost us in the next few games. I actually think it will too

    Touchy aren't we.

Not really, 2 tough away games so not expecting much really.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

That line is way too high like a throw back to AVBs terrible time

Still expect you'll do enough to get a point, which would be a good result.

I wonder could Curtois done better for the goal.

Don't see what more he could've done.

Would rather see Loftus-Cheek thrown in there instead of Mikel, did Ramires die or are we stuck with that poison in midfield

im usually the first to criticise Mikel but he's actually been okay last few times he's played

Perhaps a bit unfair but with Matic beside him his weaknesses come to light, not capable of offering in attack and us struggling has being synonymous with struggles

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

    Right.....weve been s**t.

One of the worst 45mins under Jose i can remember. Take nothing from soton theyve been good though

  • Registered Users Posts: 429 ✭✭BarcodeMuncher

Schurrle is not putting his hand up for a starting spot anyway, throw Ramires on somewhere now to keep up with that Southampton midfield

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Luis has been really poor, so wasteful in possession.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

Fabregas and hazard have been superb , Couple of errors here and there , looking for a better controlled 2nd half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

    Lucky to be level.

Huge 45mins in the title race ahead of us.

A draw is the minimum we should aim for but we have to march their intensity and desire or theyll punish us easily.

Don't think so, Southampton haven't exactly being pinging at Courtois every couple of minutes,

I think being level is an accurate representation of the game so far

1-0 Southampton would have been a fair score at half time. We scored with our first shot. We started quite well but Southampton were decent after that.

Ya if they went in 1 -0 it would have been fair
