Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Drogba hopes to resume training before the end of the week after scan yesterday showed no serious damage to ligaments according to the daily mail

Are ye in the running for Benatia lads or is it just typical rumours? He'd be a cracking signing for ye and I'd be disgusted if we settled for Mangala if if was actually available. Don't get me wrong Mangala is a great talent and will be up there with the best in the world in a few years but Benatia is arguably in the top 3 atm.

There was paper/twitter rumours weeks back but nothing in a long time. I dont think we'll be adding anyone else to the squad at this stage anyway.

The original 6 month report was a load of ball sack.

    G Neville :
Chelsea are the favourites for me. I think that Chelsea will look back at the games towards the end of last year when they certainly lacked forwards. They’ve now got a proven goalscoring midfield player in the Premier League in Cesc Fabregas and they’ve got Diego Costa. If Costa hits the ground running then I’d say Chelsea are going to win the league. Last year, not having a centre-forward of great note cost them. I expect Fabregas to bed in straight away because he’s been in the Premier League before and has lived in London before.

Costa is interesting; when you watch him play, he looks the type that is going to work his backside off for the team. Even if he’s not at his best in terms of goalscoring you just feel as though he’s going to be a massive threat and a handful for teams to deal with. He’s aggressive, he runs the sides, he holds it up, has presence, brings other players into play and will certainly thrive on little knock-downs into the box to pick up little pieces and get across defenders. From that point of view they’ll have something they didn’t have last year, even if he’s not settling in immediately

Just clicking through Twitter, Remy is the latest Cf we're linked to.

f**k me, I'd rather we were being linked with some of quality TBH.

Also, I reckon its complete and utter BS even though a ferw accounts are trying to push it, none of any great reputation.

Holidays to Portugal the 25th, only going to miss one game, Everton away.

I'll have to find a bar over to watch it in.

Its more of a running joke at this stage. :)

I honestly dont think we'll have anymore incoming players, unless Torres is shafted but trying to bring in another CF with 20days left in the window and getting decent value in the process is impossible.

Could be a cheap option in Fantasy Football.

I'm interested to see how he does, looks like a good talent but could easily be farmed out for profit, not that I've no problem with that.

He looked a good talent at the World Cup, Everton is a great club for him to go too, hopefully he'll get some game time, Miralles is very good but after that the wingers include McGeady :pac: so you'd hope Atsu might play his way into the team at some stage.

With Mirillas and Atsu either side of Lukaku they'll be a very pacey, strong, direct team if they need to be.

Deufuleo (sp) the Barca youngster was unlcuky with niggley injuries last year, he was never gonna stay but if Atsu can get in he'll make the jersey his own.

I reckon tonight the team that starts will be pretty much nailed on to start against Burnley, injury permitting.

    Hazard EPL career so far

    69 games
    23 goals
    18 assists

    Goal every 3 games
    Assist every 3.83 games
Goal or assist every 1.68 games

Hes going to have a stellar season this year with Cesc and Costa adding an extra dimension to our play, same with Luis on his side.

Chelsea team tonight: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Ake; Fabregas, Matic; Ramires, Hazard, Schurrle; Costa

My theory of those playing tonight will play Monday is out the window. :o

It could be a 4-3-3 aswell or could just be Cesc as the number 10

I'm hoping Fabregas is playing an advanced role, as opposed to Ramires playing on the right wing

why put up those nets? It's understandable in hurling but no need in football.

Ya, its fairly annoying TBH. I can get if they were retractable for the warm up as balls usually fly in all directions during the warm and you need your wits about ya if youre in either end but during the game , pointless, IMO.
