    Hi all

just wondering if anyone knows of a half decent program that will allow me to merge a few pdf's together?

i used to have one which came with scanner OCR software from years ago... but I'm damned if I can find it!

I don't particularly fancy forking out big dollar for this as it is something i might use once or twice a year

now you are just showing off!! :)

that PDF SAM is pretty complicated. I thought I might just get a cut and past job somewhere!

I am quite happy with PDFSam as well.

PDFSam works under Windows and Kubuntu.

Just to show off: No idea whether it works under Fedora ;-)

And to show off a bit more: "Complicated" is relative.

Personally, I do not consider it "complicated" to open a menu and the merge how many files whatsoever and click on start.

    But again, "complicated" is relative.

You can download Acrobat Pro (the CS2 version) for free from Adobe's website. You have to setup an Adobe ID first (simple registration)

This is the job for me all right. However it is a 30 day trial, and I used up my trial a few months back. Just didn't want to have to shell out the crazy dollar they are asking for the program.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but when I open a program and see this likes of this, I feel totally out of my depth...

Click on Merge/Extract on the left, add the files, then click run.
UI could use a bit of work sure, but I wouldn't call it complicated.

    Ok, cheers for the tips.

Actually in fairness it's not to bad once you know what you are doing.

Is there any way I can insert

    1. Blank pages

    2. Text Boxes above my pdf file.... as in to give it a page header

    3. Text boxes overlaying my Pdf file, as in... i have a picture in one of the pdf files and would like to put a text box across it
