GTA V Next Gen - No Spoilers!!

So far all GTA has done is render my PS4 useless. Still downloading it although using Google DNS its a bit faster but im only on 17GB out of 46GB so doubt ill be playing it at all tonight. But as a result I havent been able to use my PS4 at all because I have to leave GTA open and downloading...so annoying....

So, looks like the nerfed the Lester Assassinations /Stock market payout. Last gen, you'd get 80% stock increase, did the 1st one and now get 21%, waited a day, maybe I should have waited longer?

Maybe it's my tv but I am not noticing much difference looks-wise between PS3 and PS4!

I kind of agree too. There was a noticeable difference between the ps and the ps2 and then the ps2 and the ps3

ps3 and ps4, yes its noticeable when looking at youtube clips that compare the same game but after playing 5 mins on the ps4, I cant tell the difference either

same with all the other games, just doesn't seem to be that big of a leap between platforms, my expectations were probably too high to begin with

It's a ported game, so it's more or less going to be identical.

I'll wait for the next Rockstar release on PS4 before reserving judgement. For now I'm happy to have GTA back given I sold my PS3 a few months back.

these are remasters though there is a leap between gen the games are just not there yet

plus I think this remaster is more about whats under the bonnet tons of different cars can spawn now instead of just that car your driving in being everywere LOL

iv only read that I still have to see this for myself hope im playing tomorrow

on the 55inch tv ps3gta5 looks jaggie and creaky compared to say need for speed rivals on ps4 with this GTA all of that will be gone for me

Are the graphics noticeably better ?

Is the feel of the game different / better ?

Are the playlist / connection errors in general improved ?

Are you enjoying GTA all over again ?

I went from xbox 360 to PS4 and i have to say i really do notice an improvement - everything looks sharper

I am replaying story mode and loving it

There are still glitches with Online and connecting to sessions and not recognising when friends are online or not being able to join them, have also got booted a few times to a seperate session to my mates, or after a mission when we both select free mode we have ended up in different sessions

On the PS4 the little things make the game a bit cooler, like the flashing blue red lights on the dualshock when the police are after you and the phone calls/ police radio coming through on the dualshock speaker.
The touch pad makes a few things quicker too i think

Just picked up gta from xtravision.

I got a 5 euro gift card for pre-ordering, which I wasn't expecting.

I also got the 1mill in game cash slip in the box, Sheehy had said xtravision were not doing the bonus :pac:

So I'm happy out. Installing it now.
Gonna do the prologue mission first and then hopping to online for a while.

In fairness, they told me the same in shop - HMV were doing that deal too, the fockers. That's why I went and got a digital copy. :rolleyes::mad:

About 45mins disc install and another 5 min to set up the story took up all my hour lunch.....and about another 10mins :pac:

I'm hoping to get to this tonight but I probably wont be online until about 11ish, hoping our connection at home is good enough to play online or I'll be seriously pi**ed off.

All the first run of the game from the factory were to include a copy of the pre-order bonus. So in fairness to the shops, they probably didn't know it would be inside it as they didn't have a special agreement with R* as such
