Dropped the price a bit. Special deal for people on here though, naturally.

Indeed. I feel a little spoilt that I am choosing not to keep it as it really is a stunning watch for the money.

I'm contemplating selling my Roamer Competence.

    This one: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=75017120

    178571.jpg

I just don't wear it ...it's too good to be worn just for fun and I hardly ever dress up so the poor thing has had just a few outings since I've got it.

Can't be bothered to go through the whole adverts or ebay procedure but if someone on here is interested ..let me know and we can talk

Good price for one of those TH. In lovely crisp condition too.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Seller of watch I had eye on is now unsure! Think him knowing I was relatively serious about buying focused his mind and he started reversing about how unsure he was and it is worth more than he thought etc.

Think it focused my mind also.

    Wkthdrawn for the foreseeable future.

May change my mind fast but something has caught my eye.

    2350 is my rock bottom.

I hope it's another Omega - any clues what it is you're chasing..??

A rolex local enough to me. On the verge of changing my mind though. Was gonna service so that is gonna cost 400-500. If I can sell and use the service money aswell I might be able to ladder up.

There are some wonderful vintage Omegas on adverts at the moment (e.g. this: http://www.adverts.ie/vintage/omega-geneve-from-1967-all-paperwork/7796820. I'm not really a vintage type but I could be tempted by one or two. They do tend to be a bit on the small side though.

You might be able to do something on price if it needs a service. Looking forward to pics of new purchase (should it come to pass).

Your link is dead above but I think you mean this one?
    http://www.adverts.ie/vintage/omega-geneve-from-1967-all-paperwork/7796820
    ?

Great minds think alike as I bid the 350 on it last week. I suspect 400 would buy. I was going to (and might still) but at the same point whats the point. I am never going to wear it. I know that it will be too small. So buy it and sell it on TZ and maybe make 100 quid profit (maybe not but you wont lose anything) or buy and put it away for 20 years and see if it has appreciated in value. Both sound like too much effort to me.

Withdraw my PO already. Seller got cold feet when I told him I was selling to fund and I am glad (I think).

Yep, that's the one. Lovely watch...if only it was a big bigger. But if was any bigger, no doubt it would lose something of its initial appeal.

This might be a bit low brow in here but I ordered a mvmt watch a few months back. I'm not really a fan of it since I feel it's a bit big, so i'm going to sell it on due to buying something more suitable.
