Jaysus. Who would want it bad enough? I was kind of glad to be here first but then I thought, is it a booby prize? I'm not so sure now.

Jeeez I can tell your not the supportive kind

Generally the plating falls off these cases and there are Ingersoll collectors, just not the modern ****e.

Is it possible to do free items on eBay? It seems a shame to put it in the bin.

Ah R, sorry for the dodgy looking reply. Look at the time of posting 130 in the a.m. on a Saturday night! Drink was taken your honour. Reading it back out does come across rather rude, and you are doing something nice for somebody. Soz mate.

I'm about to make one of those big life decisions - buying a house - and in order to help Ireland maintain a stable banking system, I need to come up with a hefty deposit. As such, a watch has to go: Speedy or Datejust II? After a bit of soul-searching, the Rolex will be the one to go on the market.

This is the watch - 2015, 116300, black index, all boxed, papered etc etc. I'll stick an ad up on adverts as well (and link it here), but if anybody here is interested I'd rather do a deal with one of you guys. (Apart from anything else, I'd not have to deal with guys wanted to trade a second hand electric carving knife or a 1993 Golf for it.)

That's a tough decision, FdP. Best of luck buying a house. Best I could do is swap you a bull, sure he'd save you having to buy a lawnmower:cool:

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    @FDP,

I've a wife I could do a quick swop with for watch. Not many miles on her, good cook, great house cleaner (essential for new house). More importantly doesn't moan much. Needs watering the odd time. :D

    What's her time keeping like?

I have one myself and that needs a service.

OK folks, let's dial back the oul Benny Hill stuff thanks.

Thanks blue5000 - but I wouldn't even have a garden to keep him in !

893bet - I've never really checked with any precision, but seems to keep pace with my Speedy; no real difference as far as I can see.

There may well also be a 2002 Volkswagen California campervan on the market too (my heart will really break if this has to go):

That's a lovely watch, how much are you considering accepting for it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 638 ✭✭✭fulladapipes

I'm going to put it in at 5k and see what happens.

Is that a steering wheel I see on the left?

I'm the opposite of you, selling my place back in Australia with contracts to be signed in May. Seriously thinking about throwing it all in a spending 6 months touring the continent. Thinking of picking up a left hand drive camper.

  • Registered Users Posts: 638 ✭✭✭fulladapipes

@senecio - yes indeed, pure German thoroughbred left hand drive. Geniune Westfalia - California Event, 2.5 TDI, with all mod cons (see: http://www.westfaliat4.info/html/2001_vw_westfalia_t4_californi.html).

This was the last VW camper that Westfalia did before selling out to Mercedes (I think). You could sit and drive all day in this, and then turn the seats around and open your chilled Pouilley Fume or whatever you're having from the onboard fridge.

So, I've bitten the bullet and put my Datejust II up on adverts.ie (see here: http://www.adverts.ie/casual/rolex-datejust-ii-116300/10370253).

If anybody here is interested, just drop me a line and I'm sure we will be able to come to a mutually agreeable arragement of course.

2016 Steinhart Ocean One black with ceramic bezel. Full set with box, papers, receipt, spare links etc.

Purchased in Jan 2016 and worn literally a hand full of times. Condition is Mint with no signs of wear on the crystal, case or bracelet.

Bad timing for this watch as it arrived the same week as my Speedmaster so never gets the wrist time it deserves.

Something a little bit different - a Momo Design Diver. It's in blue PVD with blue rubber strap. Rotating inner bezel. Movement is an ETA 2824 and is keeping great time. No marks or scratches anywhere on the watch. Strap has been cut to fit my 7.5" wrist.
Size is listed as 47mm, but due to the case shape it wears much smaller. Actually measures 41mm across the bezel.
Comes with all boxes and papers. Would make a great summer watch. Asking €350

Selling my Steinhart Ocean 44 if anyone is interested.

Smashing watch, a tad bit big on me. I also have 2 ocean one's, blue and black, so this doesn't get the wrist time it deserves.

Don't have enough posts here to provide an URL but it's over on Adverts and on Donedeal too.
