    LEGO Lord of the Rings
    Transformers: War for Cybertron
    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary

I don't feel too bad even though I spent a lot of money. But after taking a break from PC gaming for a few years, I have loads of good stuff to catch up on. And there will be a new rig in about 6 weeks to play it all on. :D

    Final tally;

    Deadlight
    Singularity
    Orcs Must Die Pack
    Portal 2
    Dishonored GOTY
Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon
    Mass Effect
Mass Effect 2 - Digital Deluxe
Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition
    Trine, Trine 2: Complete Story
    Shadow Warrior
    Dark Souls
    Saints Row Ultimate Franchise Pack
    Fallout New Vegas Ultimate
    Spelunky
    Borderlands 2 + Borderlands GOTY
Sleeping Dogs (with a few of the DLC packs)
    Tomb Raider
Batman Arkham Origins & Season Pass
    Papers, Please
    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary
    BioShock Triple Pack
    Amnesia: The Dark Descent
    Mirror's Edge
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition (ROW) & The Witcher 2

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,066 ✭✭✭Washington Irving

    Far Cry 3
    Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
    Papers, Please
    Gone Home
    Chivalry Deadliest Warrior

I was looking at Alice: Madness Returns but missed it at 75% off, and The Knife of Dunwall DLC for Dishonored was more expensive than the base game's sale price.

    And I'm done.

    Final tally for me:

    The Wolf Among Us
Transistor + OST (via Humble, same price)
    Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition
    Castle Crashers 4-pack
    Battleblock Theatre 2-pack
Defy Gravity (profited on the cards!)
    The Journey Down: Chapter 1
    Kairo
    9.03M
    Stealth Bastard Deluxe
    Sleeping Dogs + DLC
    They Breathe
    Montague's Mount

That's about €60 in total. Considering my initial limit was €20 I can safely say I failed at Steam this year.

Insurgency (Used to play the Mod)
    AoEII HD

After a few years of steam sales and 200+ games later I've learned restraint.

I went a lot more mad then planed:

    Payday 2
    Sins of solar empire rebellion
    Space engineer
12 days to die ( bought it a few minutes ago)
    Shadowrun expansion
    Far cry 3
    Risk of rain
    Dishonored

so many games that I will barely play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,566 ✭✭✭ZeitgeistGlee

Managed to cut my usual mad spend to less than half this year, pretty pleased with myself. Christmas should hopefully be a pretty reasonable spend too, can't think of many other games I want to buy.

Had to go on gog and buy that and then ended up buying the Broken Sword collection as well. I have a serious problem. They are really great deals to be fair.

has anyone played state of decay on pc. How does it play, is it full of bugs or anything like that. I heard at first it was but was supposed to be ironed out?

I played it and enjoyed it. You can tell it was originally a console game and i didn't find it played well with a m + k. Used my Xbox controller instead which works quite well.

Other than that i didn't have any issues with bugs.

    Total for me:

    Far Cry 3
    Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
    XCOM: Enemy Unknown
    The Bureau: XCOM Declassified
Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death
    Rogue Legacy (Amazon.com)
    Castle Crashers (gift)

Spent less than €20 in total.

Thinking I may grab the Xcom complete for Enemy Within. Hoping that if I buy it as a gift it'll give me each piece separate rather than all in one.

    first world problems, eh!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,752 ✭✭✭✭degrassinoel

Erm, it might not, the enemy within is part of XCOM Enemy Unknown's newest patch, anyone that bought it on release just unlocked it with the key rather than download a whole new version.

It's really worth it though, adds a lot of the bells and whistles that were missing from an already awesome game.

If you're not sure, check the steam forums for XCOM itself, i'm sure that question would have been asked in the last 2 weeks or so since the sale started.

It's an obvious port, but it's a decent game, easily get a few playthroughs out of it

What I picked up and won't ever get a chance to finish

    Farcry 3
    Banished
    Dishonoured
    State of Decay
    Planetary Annihilation

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,031 ✭✭✭Cravez

    My haul this sale:
    - The Walking Dead Season 2
    - The Wolf Among Us
    - Papers Please
    - Insurgency
    - Castle Crashes & Battleblock Theater bundle (was €2.29 for both for a short period!)
    - Shadowrun Returns & Dragonfall DLC
    - Betrayer (Suprisingly good game)
    - Defy Gravity (19c, who could say no)
    - Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior DLC
    - Warhammer 40k Space Marine DLC

Got a few games outside of the Steam sale as well such as Watchdogs & Warhammer 40k Space Marine, then got the DLC for Space Marine in steam sale.

I was lucky that I had a €50 steam voucher for this sale :D

I actually got that bundle for €2.29 at one point before the price went up shortly after, they must have accidently priced it quite lower at one time and then insanely high at another. I found Steam to be very inconsistent with their pricing, almost always after new deals are up, the price always drops down after 20 minutes so anyone who bought something within the first 20 minutes did so with more expense.

Got my last game of the sale, didn't get much this time as I've got it already or on console.

    Space engineers
    Planetary Annihilation

Seen a few people post Planetary Annihilation, give me a shout if you're interested in playing. Already imagining a star wars mod for it.

    Small one this time:

    To The Moon
    Siberia
    Siberia 2
    Max Payne 3
    Dishonored
    Tropico 4
    Sid Meier's Pirates

    So, final haul:

    To The Moon
Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons
    Kerbal Space Program
    Papers, Please
    Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary
    Orion Dino Horde
    Pixel Piracy
    Euro Truck Simulator 2 Gold
    Far Cry 3
Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon
DmC Devil May Cry (Gift for friend)
    Assetto Corsa (Gift for friend)

There were a couple of other things I wanted but weren't discounted enough or didn't appear in the sale at all. Leave them for winter, I have more than enough to keep me going for the next few months.

Skyrim and KSP getting the most playtime so far. Pixel Piracy, Euro Truck and Far Cry 3 will probably never be played or played very little.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,578 ✭✭✭EoinHef

Fairly happy with what i got:

    -Strike Vector
    - Max Payne 3
    -7 Days to Die
    -Space Engineers
    -Payday 2
    -Deus Ex:Human Revolution (DC)
    -Rising Storm

    Total about €45

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,123 ✭✭✭✭Star Lord

    I was fairly restrained:

    Gone Home
    Alice Madness Returns
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut
    The Wolf Among Us
    Assassin's Creed Liberation HD

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,893 ✭✭✭Canis Lupus

Mount & Blade with Fire and Sword (wasn't worth it.... Terrible addition to the series)
A wold Among Us: Intriguing, not played much yet though.
Spec Ops: The Line Shooty shooty
    Tomb Raider which I'm enjoying.

Trying to convince myself not to get GTA4 for $5.99 I have it from 'other' sources but would mind 'owning' it on steam

    Gone Home

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut
    The Wolf Among Us
    Assassin's Creed Liberation HD
The only game I regret not getting while it was deeply discounted was Alice: Madness Returns, but I'm guessing as big a discount (or bigger) will appear over Christmas.

Defo feel I've got the hang of restraining myself these days, my backlog is so vast (same as the rest of us!) and I've loads of games bought in Steam sales as far back as 2011 that are uninstalled/unplayed. Just don't feel the need to buy something I'm interested in when I know it'll be available again within a few months. It's so funny seeing something that's been out for a year at €7.49 and thinking "yeah, want to play it as some stage, sure it will be €4.99 in the next sale so no hurry"!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,137 ✭✭✭✭TheDoc

Very little temptation this sale which is disappointing.

    Only purchased RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe.

Will possibly by Payday2 since a few friends play it every now and again.

I'm sure I'll dust off the wheel some lazy Sunday afternoon and give it a whirl, I just don't have any motivation to do it because I can't imagine how it could be any good! :o The reviews though... I mean there must be something I'm missing.

    Tomb Raider
Civ 5 Brave new world expansion
    Trine 2 three pack
    CS:GO

Each under a tenner and should provide with hours of entrainment so pretty happy

Brothers - A Tale of Two Son
    To The Moon

    Alice: Madness Returns
    Banished
    Bulletstorm
    Dark Souls
    GTA: Vice City

Put €60 on my wallet. No more new games for me until winter
