Did snyone get 1300 for the resistance?

I did, and when I got like 0.00456 or something. I thought my answers were totally wrong. Fot the density of the apple, I got the volume but totally forgot the mass.

I deffinately got the bike q wrong

    I did.

    It was it reduced friction

Was there figures in the question?
I think I said to place the apple on a weighing scales to calculate the mass and then use an overflow can to find the volume.

I know I did the ferris wheel question wrong.
Really odd to appear on Science and didn't think I would have to use circle formulas in a science exam.

    Think I just divided 60/.25

It asked you to calculate the work. Work is force(n) * distance which in this case was the radius.

What was the general name for the liquid in the beaker in the distillation experiment?

I thought they were on about corrosion, but then I realised that that is chemistry :L I then said that water deteriorates the rubber :L

What property of oxygen make it go to the top of the beaker ?
I said the downward displacement of air.

Edit-i meant the upward displacement of oxygen

    Just water I think

I found the test for protein question HARD.

I said the ddownward displacement of air.

I said it was less dense, wasn't sure though

I'm talking about the part where you had to calculate the seconds it took to go around the ferris wheel, but apparently I need the circumference for that.

    I got part (i) right, think I multipled 60 x 800?

    I'm pretty sure it's water.

I said this as well, couldn't think of anything else.

    Oxygen is denser than air

I said it can be compressed.

I think its because its only slightly souble in water thats what my textbook aaod I think

I got the diameter of the ferris wheel and then I multiplied it by the 0.25 seconds given, I rounded the answer to 25 minutes I think

Me too! I got 25.13 recurring and rounded it off to 25 minutes. I used my experience of being on the London Eye and felt the answer made some but of sense. Biology was so easy

It asked you to calculate the T. DST T = D/S. The distance was the radius * 2 or the diameter. And the speed was given in the question.

  • Registered Users Posts: 53 ✭✭DanielChester

And secondly the answer was 8 minutes, it was a whole number.

Oh, I know how to do it now, I just thought it was confusing for a science paper, if it was on maths paper chances are I'd have done it right. :pac:

same left mine in seconds though

If my answer was in seconds, would it be ok?

I said that the distillation one was alcohol, as it has a boiling point of 78 degrees and water is 100 and then said the water going on the outside changes the state of the alcohol from gas to liquid. I looked over it last night, glad I did.

    Yeah, that should be okay.

But this wasn't a maths paper now was it?
