Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi folks....my son dropped my IPAD,...not the mini, the larger one...there is a crackdown down the side...where the black bit is, if u know what I mean. Have a bit of Sellotape over it at the minute!! It is working fine for the moment. Any idea how much it would be to fix? I'm happy to leave it as it is working properly and the screen itself is not affected. Can I get away with this or would I have to get it repaired?? Cheers

You will get a better reply in the Apple forum, but I'm sure if you can source a screen it will be a simple fix for any half decent DIY'er . if your fine as it is , id recommend getting rid of the tape and just buy a screen protector and fit it, I have one on my spare phone with a smashed screen and its perfect, been like that for months. You can get packs of protectors online quite cheap.

You can buy the screen and tool kit on EBay for less than a tenner , quite simple to fit or just do a search on YouTube for a tutorial video.

I recently got mine fixed for €120. Cost can depend on which ipad you have too.

Oh and mine was like that for a yr before it had to be fixed cos screen shattered due to it getting dropped again :(

Just don't leave it in direct sunlight, ours had a crack that sounds similar to yours. I left it on the table and it was in the sun (didn't realise) and it spread and made it worse.
