Anyone know / recommend pubs that will be showing the games, especially the 11pm kickoffs ! With commentary on, not music and just the game on the screen !

Oslo big screen, Roisin depending if there's no events on they have big screen, Monroe's big screen might have music though, the Quays, Dew drop would be good too!

Will be watching Brazil v. Cro tonight in one of those!

The Dew Drop / An Tobar. HD screens, good surround sound. Best in Galway by a mile for sport watching IMO and the craic/beer/scenery is decent too.

The Dail is showing them with commentary upstairs and picture only downstairs.

Can anyone recommend World-Cup free pubs for the next few weeks?

There's Tig Coilis, of course, but where else will be safe from mobs of soccer fans?

The Skeff gives you a free pint of Heineken if your picked team wins the match.

I don't think there's a tv in either the Blue Note or the Bierhaus.

Watched a few premiership games recently in Oslo, has big screen but you won't hear a thing as the sound quality is crap.

But they do have tasty beers, Trouble Brewing, mmmmmmm

Skeff had a good set up last night in fairness. Good music paying for a typical Saturday night right up until kick off, then in certain areas had the match commentary loud for the match with a hint of the music in the background. played music in the other parts so whatever reason you were there for, you got what you wanted.

The sound is crap anyway, no matter where you are listening to it. Can RTE not provide better sound equipment for the compares, I would love to hear what they are saying but have to turn over to ITV for a commentary that I can hear. Come on RTE get your finger out and let us hear the commentary, not the fading in and out of what sounds like a station trying to break in on their frequency.
