Bank or Credit Union to save?

What is your opinion on saving these days, better to do weekly deposit into the credit union or a bank? Im with Ulster bank at the moment and have a credit union account which I never actually use anymore. Come December I may need to get a loan to fund a small wedding and thinking if the credit union would be a better…
