Just to ask the obvious question looking at your location - you're in the states, right? :D
(I only ask 'cos in Ireland even in that awful condition, you'd have to contact the Gardai about it).

Webley RIC is my guess too.

    Second Pattern, according to google?

Possibily a webley bulldog, or a rip off made in leige in belgium. The webley bulldog was a civilian development of the ric model. What calibre is it can you see and are there any stamps or proof marks on it anywhere ?

    I reckon Rowa is right.

    It's a .455 calibre I'd say ;)

I missed that ;) Well spotted :) If it was military I'd say calibre wise it'd be .38 though.

There's no way looking at the pictures of the barrel that revolver is .38. The victorians believed in large calibre soft lead bullets at relatively low velocities. It could be .455 webley or .450 adams. Looking at the grip frame i'd say it is a RIC model too.
