Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Which I suspect is the point.

Probably because they look nothing alike
Thought tonight's was good and I believe that this is the last season of it.

When Bill, Dunphy and Giles step down it'll be harder for them to come up with material, if it is their last time doing it, they're probably going out at the right time.

I love Apres Match but that was poor. Gay Byrne imitation was perfect though.

    it's very hit & miss i find.

the sky sports ones were crap, especially the soccer saturday one.
the "i'm a woman" line was the only thing funny in the other

Not at all, just because the imitation was spot on, doesn't mean the script was funny.

To be honest it's always been a very hit and miss thing has Apres match. You get some great moments but you get a few really poor stuff. But it's becoming a lot more poorer in the last two or three World cups and Euro's.

Have they done any songs this year? I've missed a few and the ones I did see there wasn't any.

A lot of their best bits tend to be songs, the River Tenors above for example, or the Ballack-Ronaldinho rap off.

When the real-life pundit banter is as entertaining and crazy as it has been for this world cup (eg. all of Kenny Cunningham's "I disagree" moments, and almost everything Dunphy says), it must be difficult to find a way to parody it effectively, without just repeating it.

Imagine if the the Apres Match lads had a serious go at the ridiculously bland ITV or BBC coverage it would provide a lot of scope for good sketches I reckon.

They're doing all the punditry for the 3rd/4th place playoff. I'm looking forward to it.

This is it, exactly! How they hell are Aprés Match suppose to parody the RTE studio analysis, when the studio analysis is actually a parody itself?!

They should spend their time doing the BBC, GAA, SKY, anything that takes itself serious really. They are incredibly talented individuals.
