Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking forward to seeing the Dutch game, be interesting to see how they perform now once the world is watching after the Spanish game last week.

As many have said I am torn too. On the one hand I wish Van Gaal does well but on the other hand the sooner the Dutch go out the sooner he can start concentrating on the United job after taking a few weeks holiers.

Having a WC winning manager would be awesome though!

    LVG again

Cant wait to see him the dug out next season. If he gets us any where playing this Dutch team, it will be a joy to watch my team again after years of muck

I know we were linked with him before the tournament (along with pretty much every Dutch player) but Memphis Depay looked excellent there against the Aussies. Serious pace and trickery on the wing. Something we've lacked for a while.

    What about Ashey You......oh sorry.

RVP played very well today and a certain rest from the suspension.

Depay has been linked and did looked skillful and quick. Strong built lad already.

Sneijder can stay in Turkey. Sloppy today.

Really liked the look of him . All the danger camr down his wing in the 2nd half. Our wingers are so one dimensional compared to what else is out there.

Depay will be on everyone's radar now so ya thats us out...... Ha.

From the betting forum, Ronaldo's WC could be over. His knee seems to be causing him a lot of bother. :( if true, could well be his last shot at the WC.

Always had decent sides but lacked in the striking department.

Saw this on the match thread

    Ed Malyon ‏@eaamalyon 1m
Chilean fans without tickets forced a gate, smashed through a glass door and then ran riot through media centre. Would estimate around 50

They broke into the press centre by collapsing a wall in the stadium. They are now sitting down protesting and wont leave. Desparate to watch the match

Are any of these Chile fans signing for Man United? If not then World Cup thread please.

    /pedant

(few of them seem to have a bit of pace actually)

    Vidal is absolute class.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,228 ✭✭✭✭J. Marston

Spend all the monies on Vidal.

Champion League or not, tell him we'll provide for his bloodline for the next 5 centuries. Whatever it takes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,726 ✭✭✭Rubber_Soul

Remember Bangkok said Vidal wasn't worth more than €30m?

    Good times...

Ill take a Vidal and Sanchez please.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,902 ✭✭✭MagicIRL

Sanchez is another one for the dream team. Sensational tonight.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,097 ✭✭✭shadowcomplex

Would ye take sanchez before robben? Cardiffs Medal has been outstanding, looked ordinary in the premier league

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,833 ✭✭✭✭dahat

Vidal and Sanchez, these are realistic fantasies, please Mr.Van Gaal go get them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,097 ✭✭✭shadowcomplex

Vidal, Pirlo and Pogba. Juventus must have the best midfield in Europe, it baffles why they don't do better in the champions league

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,416 ✭✭✭Zico

I wouldn't get too carried away with Sanchez's performance, he's been on par with the rest of the Chile team in terms of work rate. Spain have been muck and if anything Sanchez has been wasteful at times, especially now Spain are chasing the game.

Naive to price Vidal so soon.

Medel wouldn't be a bad backup or rotation option to pick up tbh.

I assume you are basing that off the match and not the entire season he spent in the league?
