The Dutch asked me to manage them. Clasie was decent alright!

I would like to think tonight shows a weaker team with the right mindset and philosophy can thrash a team full of stars and ego.

And I think we will need that next season. I know it's only one game but it made me so excited again about the appointment...

Of all the "top" forwards Mourinho could have signed this summer I'm so happy he went for Costa.

Balottelli type nutjob minus the class.
    This.

Was not bothered at all about Chelsea singing Costa. He is not and never will be in the league of world class strikers such as Van Persie, Aguero, Suarez, Ibrahamovich. Dirty, nasty player at times too.

It could also mean we don't sign as many players as we all think. It'll be very interesting to see what lvg does with guys like Cleverly.

MEN saying Schweinsteiger isn't a United target. Are ANY central midfielders a target? I hate this summer!

    Hope MEN are wrong.

    Yup.

2-7-8-6-7 those are the league positions the Liverpool squad have managed in the last 5 years compared with 7-1-2-1-2 for Utd's squad.

I'm more inclined to think that changes at other clubs account for Liverpool's improvement rather than a sudden improvement in the quality of their players.

I really doubt he's fit so wouldn't be surprised if he has a quiet game. It is Australia though!

Thought Snijder had a very good second half. Very composed on the ball. As for the game as a whole it the performance highlighted on big factor which Utd dont have when on the break. PACE

Sanchez goal,if he is available for £20 million we should be top of the list of clubs wanting him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,433 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

    Buy Sanchez and Robben;)

Out of interest in what order from best to worst would you put these 3 players, Arjen Robben, Alexis Sanchez and Marcos Reus

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 562 ✭✭✭Reedsie

Probably only a matter of time before Daley Blind gets a press mention as a United transfer target.

    Reus. Forget about it.
World class player in every department.
Sanchez bit one footed. Robbens age is against him.
Reus won't move this year. Prob go to barca next year.
But with LVG ... Who knows

Only a matter of time until 1 to 11 bar RVP get mentioned.

Personally id love to see two or three of their young players turn up at OT next season with maybe two more established players being bought in as well.

    ^ YESH PLEASH fyp

That was the most enjoyable game of football I've seen in quite some time. It's like last season is becoming just a fading, bad memory :)

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

I've always been a fan of the way the Dutch play football. Was supporting them in the 2010 WC and it was great, bar the final. But they made up for that today.

I'd be very excited if LVG was planning to get some Dutch lads in.

Wouldn't mind Blind at all if the Shaw deal doesn't go through.

Can play defensive midfield as well, which is a bonus

Very interesting to see Medel play centre back. He s tiny in comparison to your average centre back. With one forward being played up top these days by a lot of sides the role of the centre back is changing. Much more emphasis on passing ability, one of the pair is more akin to a defensive mid player.

Chile seem to have plenty of pace and energy. Spain are in a bit of trouble in this group.

Medal gets exposed as I read this.

Along with Martins Indi, Robben, Clasie, De Vrij, De Jong, Depay, Wijnaldum
