Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dog transportation Canada -> Ireland

    Hello,

    We are hoping to transport 2 large dogs (Husky Collie Cross and Husky Shepard cross) from Canada to Dublin in the coming 8-10 months. Can anyone recommend a transporation company based out of Ireland to help with the documentation/transportation etc. aspect. We have all their microchips, shots, vet certs, rabies shots, etc. etc. up to date and will obviously make sure again are up to date well before we leave. We do not have pet passports and are not really sure other than having all their shots up to date what else we might need.

    Maybe others who have moved pets internationally could help us out with some suggestions or tips that worked well for themselves or pet transport companies that you had good experiences with. Just want to try and be organised for when the time does actually come, so it's as stress free for oursleves and more importantly for the dogs, as possible!

    Thanks everyone.

    Worked out great. Any questions you guys have just PM me and we can help you out as best as we can. The process seems a huge pain when you are about to start getting it organised but really was pain free for us after all the initial worry.

    Couple quick points.

    Make sure you have a good vet.
    Make sure you have ALL of your dogs shots got as per the vets and BC agri dept specifications(there will be forms pertaining to this and what you'll need).
    What size are the dog(s).

    Hi there,

    Which airline or cargo company did you go with in the end? we had planned to go with westjet flying the end of May. While they are an unapproved airline you can use an approved cargo handler in Ireland and then they are accepted. The cost was 500 CAD and then 350 euro for handling in Dublin. Of course they changed their guidelines in the last week and no longer accept pets to Dublin. Air Canada is going to be 2000 for the two pets :(

    Any advice would be great.

    Best regards,

    Caoimhe
