Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Cahill unlucky there.

I kinda feared Chile would run away with this, but I'm quite enjoying it.

Australia looking more likely to score than Chile at this point.

    Vidal off. Gutierrez on.

The aussies are really pressing high up the pitch now.
Plenty of space at both ends

Cahill is going to nick another.

Great tournament so far. Hopefully it keeps up. Full of goals pity a lot of them have been disallowed!
Great game here as well and off the line!

Very happy I decided to stay up and watch this!

  • Can somebody please explain WTF is the point of the Goal Line technology when the Ref's don't call on it immediately.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,021 ✭✭✭FourFourRED

Vidal not fit. Might be ok for the bigger games.

Best game so far. Both teams well in it, good and open and there should be more goals to come :)

The ref has a watch that tells him straight away if it's a goal. The fancy graphics are for our benifit.

Good stuff all right, end to end stuff and the first "No Goal" from the technology!

I put a tenner on Australia to make it through to the group stages...was feeling very hopeful after Spain's miserable performance. Another Aussie goal will make me happy:p

Australia players are better conditioned. Sounds odd given other team is south American

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Gutierez looks really off the pace.

Vargas needs to just Fecking shoot

I stuck a fiver on Chile to make the semi final cos I kinda thought betting is no craic unless it's a bit of a risky team. They look a bit all over the place though. Don't feel too confident about their chances looking at this!

Bresciano looks excellent on the ball, but he just has no legs whatsoever, didn't even try to stop play going past him there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,048 ✭✭✭Da Shins Kelly

Chile look kinda hesitant or something in front of the goal.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,088 ✭✭✭Nib

Thing about Chile is they always try and walk in.

You need to work on your fitness, conditioning and commitment.

Tomorrow night is a marathon 4 games concluding with Ivory Coast v Japan at 2am

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,681 ✭✭✭✭P_1

Chile being far too elaborated when they get near the Australian goal

  • Cahill to score next is still 11/1

It'll be tough but I will persevere. I'll probably hallucinate that I'm watching elephants vs dragons but I'll be there

I might go to bed for the England match to watch the Ivory Coast-Japan match!

Jedniak gone off and replaced by "Halloran".

The big winner in that transaction is Brian Kerr.

Don't forget New Zealand v England and Australia v France if you're feeling up for an extra challenge :P

    Just backed him at 14/1.

The next goal will be either involve a neat 1-2 by Chile or a bullet header from 12 yards out by Cahill :).

Seems about right price wise. It's unlikely. Better money would be on the draw if anything.

Oh the humanity. Back in my childless days might have sneaked it, but this in of itself is outrageous. It's nearly 1am for god sake! 1AM

My children will literally murder me in the morning :p

Cahill has been on the end of nearly all of Australia's chances. If it's a draw he's the one that will more than likely score it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,797 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Looks like that's Australia stuffed, two of their best players off now.
