Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fair play to Costa Rica, nice to see small nation doing well. Their day in the sun.

Well they just best the smallest nation in the World Cup

Brilliant result, Costa Rica were brilliant, fully deserved their win. They will be a threat to England. And Uraguay will be a different side with Suarez in the team, this group has been made even more interesting.

Uruguay were really being talked up over in Ireland and the UK mainly on account of Suarez and his exploits for Liverpool but it's always dangerous to be relying on Premiership form going into these international events. You's wonder though would there be much said about them if Suarez was still playing for Ajax.

Uruguay were quite lucky to make the semi finals last time if you look at it in depth. Turmoil in France, terrible hosts in South Africa, South Korea and Ghana in the knockout stage and Forlan one of the few players in 2010 to master the strange moving ball.

Last night may have been a truer reflection of where they stand.Gonna be a lot tougher with England and Italy in the group.
