Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rooney put in a quality cross, but he's not covering back on the left wing at all. Should swap wings with Welbeck.

Sterling is playing well but he should be on Chellini as he'll badly expose his lack of pace at left back.

Also, they really need to get someone better co-commentating than PNev, even his brother would do for me right now despite how much that one annoys me.

It's Michael Owen without the unintentionally funny comments.

Why is Rooney wearing a long sleeve vest under his shirt in that heat?

Just waiting for one of the Italians to buckle sterling

I can see England getting a penalty if they run at Italy ... I think the Italy defence is nervous of Sterling and Sturridge.

I think he is referring to the fawning over Pirlo and Rooney in the thread

Darmian lad is a bit of a bright spark too. Footrace between him and sterling would be an interesting one.

Physio went over on his ankle during the celebrations for the goal apparently!

Certain irony to the Physio getting injured.

Probably freaked out over the fly in his Chardonnay and went over on his ankle.

Rooney crosses with his left, sturridge finishes with his right.

That's what you practice with both feet.

Cancelled out Cahills horrendous effort early on out on the left that he tried ot clear with his right foot and put in to touch. Nothing worse than a player that cant even swing a left foot at the ball to clear it.

Beacause he's a completely overrated failure that should be dropped despite his almost record goal tally for club and country

    Or so Twitter says

Brilliant half of football. Both teams playing a very different style, but both playing well. Could finish either way.

Verratti and Balotelli been very disappointing.

Sterling been motm by a mile.

Edit: As I say it Mario nearly scores.

The humid conditions in Manaus make it ideal for growing the hair follicles on his arms, if they are covered (almost like a greenhouse). These will then be transplanted onto his head after the tournament if they grow strong enough in the next week.

Balotelli is magic when he's on form. Great effort.

Gerrard half a yard off the pace of this game (and it is by no means high tempo) imagine a team that can move the ball with pace around him would cause England troubles.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,066 ✭✭✭Washington Irving

    Brilliant half
