Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gerrard is struggling and Hart is ****, while Italy's defence looks very dodge. Tough one to call.

Great first half, hard to know who will win this. The pace of England's attackers is causing Italy all sorts of problems.

But Italy are walking through the England midfield with Gerrard not in the game at all.

Might come down to which team copes with the heat & humidity best

Great first half of football. Been impressed with England overall, but Sterling and Welbeck in particular.

They seem to be playing without that usual English fear and weight around their necks.

Had a fair few koppinger pear...that set, those lights, those aul lads and HDTV, I'm gettin the spins

Wilshere for gerrard and England will have an edge

Why is Rooney wearing long sleeve under armor (Body warmer, whatever you want to call it) I know he's not the brightest but come on......

Seriously! Is he trying to melt or something?

Very hard to call this one.

Immobile in the last 30 mins could be the hero, tiring defenders.

Henderson needs to take charge, Hodgson is never going to drop him.

If he tires out lalana on a sub for Gerard along side Henderson England have a chance at winning this.

Again Welbecks start has been justified Italy can't handle him when he takes the ball down and runs at the RB

Rooney spending too much time covering the LB again waisted but still manged to produce brilliance with the cross.

Sturidge finding great position for the finish.

    Henderson needs to take charge,

    Lol!!!!

It could be, but anybody who classified it as such could be classified as "without clue"

Was a good clearance, but it goes in and it is a fantastic goal after a lovely piece of invention.

Someone once told me sarcasm doesn't work if it has to be explained....

I am expecting Henry to do a Zidane on Shearer before the World Cup ends. Shearer keeps interrupting him - even answering questions that Henry has been asked.
Henry seems to be getting p***ed off with it.

For a guy with a much poorer command of his native language. Shearer's uncouth

Don't understand how keeping sweat off your body keeps you cool?

Makes me laugh how people want Gerrard subbed all the time.

Liverpool fans wanted the same thing at the start of last season before Rodgers changed his position.

Problem is that Hodgson is not using him correctly.

Not a Henderson fan but I think he's played O.K.1st half.

Is this Neville's first game? You'd hope they'd have run the rule over previously.

Paletta is rocking the Antonio Conte look with the hair.

Interesting to see how fitness is after 70 mins, they were out on their feet at the end of that half. You feel like England were working harder so it could hurt them later, subs will be important.

    Some Twitter comments:
Ten of our chaps are playing very well....
Phil Neville could make Zippity Doo Dah sound like a cancer diagnosis
I am watching, and I have an interesting take on the game: I am wondering who will win.
This is the best Darts match Phil Neville has ever commentated.

Gerrard, Hart, Johnson have been absolute poo.

Gerrard is doing next to nothing he is supposed to be doing, Hart's decision making is horrific and Johnson is afraid to take more than 2 touches of the ball.

Sterling is the star of the show whilst Welbeck, Sturridge and Cahill have played very well.

Rooney is playing ok and the rest of the team are performing decently.

Milner, Lallana and Barkley to be the subs.
