Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

but rooney has been awful you have to accept that.

No, he has far better than Sturridge, the player most likely to produce something out of nothing and has played the most high profile games out of anyone on England's team.

England should dump Gerrard and Rooney for the other two games

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 473 ✭✭DildoFaggins

Sterling should be on a hattrick although the play between the 3 kieran gibbs has been exceptional Rooneys been playing on the wing most of the game.

    Why didn't Rooney take that

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,106 ✭✭✭catallus

He tried to kick the football into the goal but he didn't kick it right and he kicked the ball too high and it didn't go into the goal.

Ref draws line in grass.....Italians creep a yard forward anyway....ref does nothing.

    Meh.

Same result except you get Liverpool fans saying "Rooney should have left it to Stevie".

    Touch the ball?

He's had a decent second half. The 'why is he still on the pitch' comments are nonsense.

    Sterling looks done in.

    Wah?

He said "when the ref puts down the imaginary line......"
It's very much a physical line and not imaginary at all.

That was my point, it was above board. Relax

Classy from the England fan there.

Pirlo is still running well and fighting, not bad for a guy who was supposedly finished 4 years ago

Bit greedy by Rooney. Barkley had a better chance if he hadn't stole it off him.

Rooney looks frustrated and is trying too hard.

For the amount of dead balls he takes Gerrard is fairly poor. 1/100 tends to be brilliant. The rest are sh1te. Rooney, Sterling, Wilshire and Johnson all sloppy

Rooneys been fine blame Sturridge and Sterling for bottling it infront of goal.

    Rooney missed the best chance

Everytime Houghton says 'Immobile', I think he's saying 'Mowgli' from Gremlins.

Rooney seems to have forgot how to play up front. He should be pulling on to the shoulder of Italys Cb so Barkley , Lallana & Sterling can play him in.

Rooney and Gerrard the weak links in the England team.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

Barkley showing some leadership. Try to take people on and start a few moves.

Gerrard has had little or no influence on the game. That's the truth of it.

England have been very short of ideas since Italy scored the second.

Barkley has done fcuk all since he came on it must be said

    Oh dear Sterling, shocking etc

England looking out of ideas here big time, Italy have not been at their defensively solid best but dealing comfortably at the moment

    Rooneys agent is a genius.

Done the most out of the subs, added a bit of penetration. It would help if Rooney wasn't tackling him.

Doing well IMO, getting on the ball, passing well and running at defenders

Italy have created absolutely nothing since they scored about a week ago. Typical Italians will probably score in the 95th minute. :P
