A global and multi-stakeholder meeting took place in Sao Paolo, about the future of Internet Governance. Results had shown that international control over internet activity needs to be strengthened, and that it is a key factor and main means in order to stop the illegal operations of NSA.

However, the reform that had been proposed, seems to be as much as a trick, as the NSA reform over the US was.. This, as it does not seem to bring any real fundamental changes to the current situation, and aim is to soften up the critics and voices in our post-Snowden era.

Can you give some details of how this is so?

This (netmundial.br) is the link to the meeting page. You can find the agenda and discussion forum (forum.1net.org) with some interesting parts to read. The results were communicated to the press, from which I have read them too.

I wish this will be a good start, and not a flawed one (..). First results were kind of empty promised.
