Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have to admire Boye's athleticism to get his leg up there.

Savage is a right tit, doesn't know a thing.

What is it with RTE and their sound issues? The sound on BBC is grand, but the sound quality on RTE is shocking. Almost like the commentary team is sitting with the band.

Funny for me I find the sound much better on RTE. You can hear the crowd more and the commentators are perfectly audible.

Are you sure you have your system set to 5.1?

I also find BBC is not full surround for sport but is for other programmmes. You actually here it change when the credits start.

Too right, he was already about a metre off the ground before he started to raise his leg

A massive shame that he decided to render his club career virtually over at 26 years of age by going to play for Al-Ain. That said, 89 goals in 100 games for them and he's making £200,000 tax free a week.

Sounds like a pretty sweet career to me

I like Savage, but his commentary tonight is painful. He seems drunk.

Don't understand RTE's commentators saying that everything is okay because the Ghana players are making honest attempts for the ball. It doesn't matter if you intend the ball, it's still a foul and dangerous play.

Of course Boye didn't mean that spontaneous gymnastics routine but it was reckless and dangerous, should have been booked in my opinion.

I think he's being very honest.

It's been all Ghana for about 35 minutes now. The US are just sitting deep in 2 banks of 4, it's painfully easy stuff.

He said if the ref had seen the kick to Dempsey's face it would've been goodnight John Boye.

What is Savage prattling on about? Just comes out with random statements completely unrelated to what is happening at the time

Started off with a rant about how bad it was from Dempsey not to sing the national anthem and if it was up to him players would be forced to sing it or be dropped.

Yep, definitely one way to look at it.

I do think it's a shame he didn't continue to play at the highest level for longer, when his talent clearly allows for it. He could score 100 goals a season in that league and no-one would care or even hear about it without going out of your way to search, though I can completely understand that players, especially those who come from such poor backgrounds, find it virtually impossible to turn that sort of money down.

All those complaining about Robbie Savage, you do realise you can click on the red button for 5live commentary or no commentary at all?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,909 ✭✭✭Neeson

Savage doesn't want to become a Phil so he's bringing emotion into it.

Maybe the heat is getting to some of the team and making them say weird things.

Having a go at Klinsmann for having the temerity to be angry when his striker got his nose busted as well. What an eejit.

I think players have to be able to lose it and show some passion and frustration now and then. We don't want robots.
