University of Lincoln ? - To quote "The Inbetweeners" - "Goodbye quality education, hello University of Lincoln ! " ( Google it )

Spent a bit of time there in the past. It's a picturesque city - The cathedral is amazing. Bailgate, Cathedral and Steep Hill areas have a good atmosphere, especially at nighttime - Like something from a Dickens book. It's a bit isolated (you need to travel to Newark and change trains before you can get on a decent intercity train to London). Long difficult drive to London by road as well. Not too far from Nottingham. Has a good pub scene, particularly in summer when the weather is good. Skegness (Blackpool of the east) is not too far away. The locals (Lincoln Yellow Bellies) tend to be parochial and insular. They might start to accept you once they get used to seeing you - takes about 5 years. The local women tend to of attractive appearance but a bit vacuous (to say the least)...
They yellow bellies always use the word "while" instead of until - They had to change all the signs on the pedestrian crossings in Lincoln that said "Do not cross while the red man shows" because loads of kids were getting knocked down....
