Old Capri that belonged to my mother's friend's brother. I don't know a whole lot about the car but it sat for years after he was unable to drive it and it was eventually sold for scrap in 2012/3. Sad really, she was a automatic. I remember the car from my younger years but I wasn't really into photographing cars then and these are the only photos I could get my hands on of the car.

Indeed, it's a good few decades since it was in northern Europe (assuming it was built in the UK).

Takes all sorts really, I wonder how much the shipping was back to here ( unless he filled the container with personal effects as well ;) ) If it was me it'd be a Ford/Holden V8 that'd be coming back

I wouldn't be surprised if the driver had it from new.

I get the felling they have some sort of attachment to the car, you'd really want to to drag it half way across the country from beautiful, sunny NZ to here

    Some sightings

Celica Supra - ( had 2 of them  ) and saw another one later in gold/blue
    T25 Syncro -
LR 101 V8 - lovely rumble - or was that the fuel pump trying to keep up
RR 'Silver Mist' ( I KNOW - 1) it's a Bentley 2) RR never made the Siver Mist because of the German t/lation  )
    Another Bentley in Dawson st

I don't think NZ is that sunny. My brother in law is a kiwi and he says it's very similar to here.

    T25 Syncro -

This Syncro used to be mine and is a very special one - its the last Graz built RHD T3 Syncro. I bought it to use as a breaker until I discovered how rust free it was so I decided to keep it as yet another project! Anyway, I sold it on along with a heap of Syncro spares that I didn't need.

I still have the 'birth cert' and confirmation letter from VW confirming it was the last one ......

I passed a lovely silver one with SYNCRO in big black letters on the front last week cycling to work. It looked well.

The Alfa is owned by a buddy of mine. Just taken out from its winter slumber, soon to be used around the Northside for the coming months.

Yep that looks like it w124man. Looked great. I think it was an 87/88 reg plate. It was parked on Leinster Road.

Didn't get time or opportunity to take a pic, and if it weren't for the lights of another car lighting up the scene I might have slammed into him...but whoever was driving a Ford model A in a number of St Patrick's day parades in the Co Cork area, get those rear lights sorted! You're practically invisible in the dark.

Yup thats where it lives. An unmodified Syncro Van is quite a rare thing these days.

Beaut Syncro van, another one of my 'Lotto garage' residents - Leinster rd - home of Syncro, Renault Alpine GTA, and the MGB 'Le Mans' :)

Model A in Cork - a few LED's would help, not much point being 'original' if the car is written off because of poor lighting  (Reminds me of the 'romantic' horse-drawn 'holiday homes' around Wicklow - not much 'romance' in a horse and family being injured/killed because of modern day conditions  )

QLD DKW - wonder was he stuck repairing the Deek in 34c heat and humidity :( That sort of weather encourages A/C and no breakdowns

The Alpine doesn't live there if it's the black one you are referring to. That lives near Ballsbridge, I'd prefer not give it's exact location however. Of course, there could be 2! I haven't seen the Le Mans MGB or do you mean the LE500 in met silver/grey?

There are a few other nice cars knocking about that area.

I did see the Alpine in BB, thought it was another one ! The BGT was off Leinster road last I saw of it.
