    Muteela 8/1

It's not original taking the favourite in a 24 runner contest but I absolutely adore the attitude of Mark Johnston's well bred filly Muteela who puts her unbeaten record on the line here today as she attempts to improve her career record to 4-4 and I think an 8lb rise to a mark of 95 for her most recent success is very fair and one I think she can definitely overcome. Having scored in a Lingfield AW maiden in October last year on sole 2 year old start, this half sister to Middle Park & Mill Reef winner Awzaan bolted up on handicap debut off a mark of 78 when making all in to win by 4L and I just loved her uncomplicated, resilient attitude that day. Upped 9lb to a mark of 87 and pitched into a better race against some nice unexposed types, she again answered that challenge as she made all before showing a really gritty attitude to repel a late challenger to score from a potentially very well handicapped rival in Pretzel and the handicapper's decision to only raise her 9lb to a mark of 95 looks a lenient one in my eyes. Drawn in stall 22, it's the same adage that applies for That Is The Spirit in that she could be well drawn as there seemed a bias towards high numbers yesterday and you've just got to hope she is in a race that will probably split into at least two groups given the fields size. If she is, I think its going to take a very well handicapped and resilient horse to stop her off a mark of 95 and I think 8/1 is a very fair price about her.

What a ridiculously game performance that was by a 3 year old filly. Makes up for the disappointing runs of TITS and Certify.

Must say I really, really like the look of 8.30 Wexford Annie Other 4/1. A Wexford specialist with 4 course wins to her name, Annie Other looks to have been completely plotted up in a bid to win this for the second year running. A comfortable winner 12 months ago (did make a bad blunder at the last fence) off a 5lb lower mark of 113, Annie Other would definitely have gone close off a mark of 123 in an attempt to follow that success up when making a bad error two out over a 2m6f trip that probably stretches her (only beaten 5.5L) and she disappointed on her final chase last season before running ok in two flat contests. Having taken the rest of the season off in proper quick ground, Annie Other was disappointing on her seasonal debut over hurdles on unsuitable soft ground last month but I think that effort can be forgotten. Returned to fences at her favourite track and on rattling quick ground, I think she's definitely on a very workable mark of 118 and if spot on for this I think she'll take an awful lot of beating is her jumping holds up.

My e/w hail mary lucky 15.

Royal Ascot 17:00 - Outright Betting Belgian Bill 20/1

Royal Ascot 14:30 - Outright Betting Sudirman 16/1

Royal Ascot 16:25 - Outright Betting Certify 12/1

Royal Ascot 17:35 - Outright Betting Muteela 8/1

ANTHEM ALEXANDER on paper looks perfect for this, half sister to Dandyman by Starspangledbanner. Getting on the skinny side at 7/2.

Anthem alexander and muteela were impressive, certify was very disappointing , a little profit for the day which is always good.

Something rancid about Annie Other I feel. Drifted horribly on course and on the exchange and Jack Doyle barely tried in my opinion. If anyone want to give me their opinions please do as there is a bitter taste in my mouth.
