Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If the 2002 Brazil side played the 2014 Brazil side how many goals would The 3 R's get between them?

I get the feeling this is going to end in tears for Brazil.

Brazil have not produced a world class center midfielder since Emerson.

Brasil could get a handy penalty to keep things on track ;)

More of a contrast between red and yellow than green and yellow maybe. Not sure though.

Mexico looking the better team now. Time for some shady figure to give the ref the nod to award Brazil a peno.

Mexico are creating loads of chances !

Brasil centre midfield is non existant it's astounding to watch how poor they are. A team like the Netherlands would maul them out there tonight.

Does Fred even know that he is playing in a game of football out there??

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,286 ✭✭✭seligehgit

Brazil are very unimpressive, they have to improve to a significant degree to have any chance of claiming the ultimate prize.

As far as I know FIFA want a "light" strip versus a "dark" strip, guessing mexico's green counted as light as does Brazil's yellow.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Or plan b which has now kicked in...give every Mexican a yellow and send off as many as possible.

Honestly like, I'd rather see Ronaldo or Adriano at their worst (weight) out there, either would be more likely of doing something productive than Fred.

"for those of you watching in black and white, Brazil are in yellow" :)

Brazil fans look a little disappointed. I would be too.

I wonder about this. I don't think they account for Black and white tvs anymore.

I think it's the kit manufacturers pushing it rather than FIFA to promote the second strips.

Sure with Holland v Spain on Friday both theams where in change strips when there was no need.

How has Ronaldinho been doing in the Brazilian League? Could he still do a job for the national side? Kaka and Robinho are still around. Adriano can only be 31-32 now. What could have been for him. :(

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,948 ✭✭✭Banjaxed82

What's the craic with Scolari? Is he no longer the Brazilian Gene Hackman?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

Ochoa has been fantastic. Another great save.

Forget them - what does Lucas Moura think when he watches this?

Just give MOTM to Ochoa now.

Mexico will have a lad sent off or Brazil will get a penalty before the end of this, or both

Adriano has a bit of a booze issue , Ronaldinho is considered damaged goods and Kaka is nowhere near the player he was .

Dos Santos has been fairly poor

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

Game needs Willian. How is Paulinho still on? He's been woeful again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

And Ochoa is out of contract too....

    Oscar has been dreadful too.

I normally like seeing the host nation(s) doing well, but I'd be delighted if Brazil went out. Shame the fix was in in the opener or they'd be up crap creek.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,043 ✭✭✭Hitchens

is Jo related to Fred? :D

Strange to see a Brazilian team without a good out and out striker

They wore green against Cameron wei were in yellow though. Some teams just ignored Fifa and their ludicrous rules too. Brazil and france don't have all one colour.

Love the way the Mexican fans shout 'Puto' every time the opposition goal keeper kicks the ball out.

I'd be delighted to see Brazil out. This is a poor Brazil side who are very poor to watch. Even worse than under Dunga

Did Leandro Damaio ever amount to much? Touted for a Premier League move not long ago.

I was saying elsewhere I didn't think it was possible to be the case, but alas... here we are in 2014 with THIS Brazil side!

Scolari was fortunate to have the squad he did in 2002.

How the hell is David Luiz starting for Brazil?!?!

Thiago Silva might as well be playing by himself. Ridiculous stuff.
