Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ref's been pretty lenient on the cards.

Loved that Mexican supporters reaction to that previous chance.

Draw suits both teams. As long as they both avoid defeat in the last games they both go through.

I guess the ref didn't notice the brown envelope in his dressing room.

    Thank fook.

Great result for Mexico. Still have a lot to do vs Croatia.

Brazil have effectively been playing with a 'false 9' such has been their mediocrity, been more interested with the Dunphy fallout tbh.

    Brazil 0-0 Ochoa.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,480 ✭✭✭✭cson

    Boom.

    Guillermo Ochoa 0 - 0 Brazil

Seriously though; Mexico were solid value for that imo.

Draw a fair result. Both teams looked pretty limited.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

That Brazilian team are going to get torn apart by a better team.

Mexico on 4 points, Croatia will have to beat Cameroon now you'd think.

    Absolutely.

Compared to that Iran game the other night, that had my attention for the majority of the 90mins.

I've seen more exciting draws involving the independent observer from Stokes Kennedy Crowley.

Why in the love of God did Marcelo go down? Stay on your feet, lay it across for Jo and you win the game. What a coward.

I know people used to joke about having to check Lucas' passport to make sure he was Brazilian, but Fred and Hulk have to be two of the worst Brazilians I've ever seen... Especially given that they play up in the offence and would be expected to have some skill ..

Sad as I realise I'll never see a Brazil side like 1982 again.

Happy for Mexico though, they actually could have won the game.

    That Fred fella is poison.

    Kenny talking plenty of sense.

They might as well have Mario Zagallo still in charge.

Mexico are a very hard-working and honest team.
I hope they go far in this.
    Very impressed with their work-rate.

Is this ****e ever going to end? I saw Alan Shearer miss a sitter once, in that case he isn't allowed to criticise any striker who misses one in his analysis.

There is so little rapport between the three pundits... They might as well have partitions between them and be asked questions separately like blind date..

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,369 ✭✭✭the incredible pudding

Dunphy calling him "The Hulk" now, he'll be calling him Bruce soon.

Legend, this man alone is a big a part of the World Cup for me as the soccer itself. Since 1994 as a kid I'm glued to the screens and I just like RTE's coverage. Last time in 2010 I watch the games on BBC for the High-Def but switched back to the RTE for the analysis before and after.

Dunphy going on about idiotic pundits....err....awkward!!!

    What a ridiculously stupid analogy.

Eh....strikers miss chances all the time.

Handling a ball to knock a team out of the World Cup is a different matter entirely.

If Henry was criticizing Marcelo (presumably, cos I dont have BBC) for driving and "cheating", then he is fair game for criticism and accusations of hypocrisy himself... You think he'd know not to throw stones in glasshouses...

They've got an outside chance of winning the world cup if Craig Joubert is refereeing the final..
