Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Can anyone tell me please what the difference between these two PS Plus cards are, is the 90day just like 2 days shorter than the 3month? Is that the only difference?

    http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/1290156.htm?_$ja=tsid%3A30390%7Cprd%3A7701081

    http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/5056626/Trail/searchtext%3EPS+PLUS.htm

    Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think they will work here seen as they have a UK flag on them?

    I'm sure that Argos are just using the same photo from their UK site for the product. Any I bought in there have the Irish flag on them.

    They probably have some left over from before the price change from €14.99 to €19.99 and are still flogging them off. I'd imagine that the 3 month one will be for 90 days as well.

    Would Smyths price match the Argos PS4 Pro bundle with FF XV and the Division?...

    Well it's almost impossible to get them to answer the phone so asking here if anyone knows if they do or not would save me a trip to Smyths

    Yupp, it's like they have a policy of not answering the phone.

    Ah in all fairness, it's their busiest time of the year. Having worked in retail, I answered the phone if I had time, but often people would ring expecting me to go through everything on the phone with them as if they were in the store, while people in store were starting at me on the phone, and getting irritated. Yeah, it's annoying, but they have a website, and if they had a price promise, it has terms and conditions to cover them against items that aren't in stock (ie you want the Argos offer, but you want to get it in Smyths, I'm guessing because Argos are sold out)

    Edit: I know you didn't post the question originally. Consider it a royal you :)

    I haven't rang them in ages, I tried a few times throughout the year and nada. Asking about stuff I couldn't find on their website, no answer so went elsewhere.

    Yeah I'd imagine they would lose out on loads of business, the workers are probably to lazy to answer the phone... My local Smyths have given me cases with no game, almost put an Xbox game into the PS4 box and one other person couldn't find the game I wanted that was right under her nose and told me they only got Battlefield one that day when other games where released...

    Ahhh.....I thought Wing's post was a joke :pac:

    I wasn't joking! Just found out today it ended. Raging. Especially since they're still advertising it and they just changed the price last week...

    Read on Playstationtrophies.org that it was on a leaked list of the 12. Also included are BF1, Titanfall 2 and Watchdogs 2.

    Sound man, looked it up and found this list, seems they got Dishonored right anyway. Looking to get FF XV but might hold out til the end of the sale now, especially if tomorrows game is Skyrim.

    Rise of the Tomb Raider
    Fallout 4
    Dishonored II
    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
    Battlefield 1
    Uncharted 4
    Titanfall 2
    Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
    FIFA 17
    Grand Theft Auto V
    Watch Dogs 2
    Final Fantasy XV

    Seems legit, deal #4 going live today is Skyrim (reduced from 60 to 27.99).

    Nice one, Sony.

    I didn't need money for Christmas anyway.

    Add to this the fact that I'll almost definitely pick up the Last Guardian when its released this week and it'll be a cold, hard winter in my house!

    Paid €399 for PS4 Pro 1 TB & Dishonered II

    Now this may seem dishonourable ( did you like what I did there ?? ) but this morning I saved €35

    Saved €25 by getting cashback ( will be getting ) via PTSB’s Debit Card GoRewards Scheme.

    Received €10 by getting an Argos Gift Voucher on spend of €399.

    PTSB’s GoRewards Scheme;

    I bank with PTSB & have a visa Debit card & signed up to their GoRewards scheme.

    You receive cashback (€25 max cashback) on your Argos shopping when you use your PTSB Visa Debit Card on purchases of €50 or more

    See link for further details;
    https://www.permanenttsb.ie/gorewards

    Argos Gift Vouchers;
    From today until December 13th;
    Spend €100 or more and receive a €10 Argos Voucher
    Voucher can only be used between now & December 23rd.

    See link;

    http://www.argos.ie/static/ArgosPromo3/includeName/giftvoucher1.htm?mvt=HP1_main1

    I managed to get Dishonored II instead of the other online bundles by selecting the online €399 deal and reserved it.
    Went into the store and paid for it at the Ordering Kiosk using my Debit card.

    The PS came out but without the game and I queried this with customer service. They looked at their website and saw the bundles on offer for €399 and gave me Dishonored II ( which was nice :) )

    Now, Dishonored II is worth €36 of GameStop instore credit, which I may use towards a year’s online PS Purchase Plus membership or it may go towards another controller.

    You can get €37 cash from CEX for Dishonoured 2.

    I got the same Argos bundle while Dishonored 2 was worth €49 in cash from CeX. Sold on the base model 500GB PS4 for €250 on a local 'for sale in...' Facebook page, so the upgrade only cost me €100 overall.

    I also have the unused 1TB HDD from inside the PS4 Pro going spare as I swapped in my original 2TB. If I get to sell that on, I'll be expecting another €40-€55 off that. I also put that €10 Argos voucher towards Doom when it was down to €19 over Black Friday; so €9 for Doom.

    It was all very savvy, even if I do say so myself. :p
