I don't know is there any way to know if the Last of Us Left Behind DLC goes on sale on PS3?

PSprices is a good way to keep track of sales. The standalone Left Behind and DLC version were both last on sale in March.

How does the PSVR stack up on the PS4 Slim? Is it a big drop between that and the PS4 Pro?

So in Smyths right now, you can get the PS VR starter kit and the choice of 1 of about 6 VR games for ~€250 (I remember GT and WipeOut of the top of my head)
You can also add the 2pack of move controllers for and extra 50 bucks, bringing it to ~€300 in total. Move controllers on their own, outside the bundle, are €80.

Similar deal for the VR kit and move controllers in Argos for anyone who can't get to Smyth's as easily. Not sure what games are on offer but Wipeout is definitely there.

So tempted to pick this up, not sure if I can justify it though.

Edit: as pointed out below it's Wipeout or the discounted move controllers in Argos, so deal isn't as good.

I was going to mention the Argos offer, but I don't think it's as good :)

In Argos, just WipeOut (no other games) is free with the bundle for €250
    OR
Add the dual move kit for extra €50, to bring it to €300.

You can't combine the offers. I put all 3 in the basket and it came to ~€338 or so :(

I use mine on the original PS4 and it's fine. VR isn't about high definition right now, its about the immersion, which I was sceptical about, but it turns out VR has actually reignited my interest in gaming. On the Pro things are slightly crisper, blurry edges become a bit less blurry, but like I said if you let yourself become immersed, you'll get your money's worth.

Didn't realise it was an "or" kinda job when checking earlier, thanks for clarifying!

    God of War - €39.99
Horizon Zero Dawn - complete edition - €24.99

Both in Smyth's. Cheaper than the days of play sale

Still part of Days of Play. Sony are subsidising cost by X amount per unit. Smyths are cheaper because their original prices were cheaper to begin with.

You can change your name if you subscribe I think. People do it usually if they're running away from something. :)

If you have a US or Canadian PSN, hold off on buying from Irish store just in case it works out cheaper on the other stores

Hitman The Complete First Season is €14.79 on cdkeys. Apparently some code floating around (facebook?) will knock a few cent off also

Burnout paradise 15 down from 40, must have had shocking sales. Was way overpriced at that but 15 is tempting.

Does anyone know the expiry time of a PSN code from GameStop? Tempted by the 12-Month PS+ for €42, but I'm thinking of keeping it for when I want to resubscribe, not activating it immediately

It stacks. So just adds 12 months to your sub.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,288 ✭✭✭Virtanen

I know, like I said, I don't want to activate it immediately, hence why I was buying from GameStop, not PSN :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,804 ✭✭✭Jacovs

After reading it a second time I copped that might be what you meant.
Just curious what reason there is for waiting to activate?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,288 ✭✭✭Virtanen

Don't play online a lot, don't play many of the free games. So it makes sense to wait and activate it when I want to do one of those things, instead of activating it straight away but getting little or no use out of it for the first few months

I know I could get it for shorter lengths of time for less money as well, but 12-months is obviously the better value :)
