Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've gotten a year out of GTA V myself on old gen and now the first game I picked up for the PS4 was GTA V. It's mainly down to the Online mode which I think is the standout feature of the game. Definitely the best GTA by far but the storyline wouldn't be my favourite. I'm a huge GTA fan though so probably biased.

Overrated? i really must disagree, possibly the best value for money game ive ever bought plays superbly, fantastic story mode thats well told, mixed missions that dont feel like a chore, and online.... is really good fun especially with a couple of friends. Plus still releasing free dlc 2 years after release, its a superb title and possibly the best title released in the last 3 years on console imo

While you are technically correct here, I am a little disappointed that in the two years there's been no single-player DLC - paid or unpaid.

But I couldn't recommend the game highly enough. An absolute masterpiece of a game that I've bought for the second time and will happily sink another 100+ hours into!

Amazon have priced matched argos for dishonored, so it works out at 10.70 plus shipping.

I think the fact that they realised it for ps3 etc, then a year later essentially ported it to ps4, and just added first person mode, then everyone had to wait months and months for online to work. It kinda skewed my view of it. And the no single person DLC stuff is also a negative, but it is a great game.

Anyway back to the bargains :)

Open world racer "The Crew" is currently $17.99 & $14.99 (for PS+ subscribers) on the Canadian PSN. Might be of interest to a few people.

Tis a shame 80% of the time they do have these good offers there sold out almost everywhere ... But yes, one of the best companies to deal with to be honest...

Anyone found out if you can get a game in a bundle with argos when it's out of stock and get it later.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,166 ✭✭✭Beefy78

    Yeah you can

Wolfenstein new order is out of stock but I was able to reserve old blood, is it a prequel that you can play without needing to know the story of the previous entry? Just want a cheap €10 game tbh :)

Do the Psone games on the Vita ever get discounted much? I'm looking at buying a few for my son to have on his Xmas day Vita.

I wouldn't have thought there's much scope to reduce games like the Crash series that are already €5.

They do half price sales on some of the PSOne titles throughout the year. I've picked up a couple before.

The final fantasy games get a 50% reduction a couple of times a year but generally the PSONE sales are tied to something never just in a normal sale.

I saw Argos are taking reservations for their games on sale, just saw you can order Until Dawn to collect in-store on the 24th for 23 euro. I just got the last copy of The Evil Within (in my local) for 16 but you can reserve that for Thursday as well.

I wanted both but will settle with Evil Within for the time being. Hoping to pick up Until Dawn in the New Year, hopefully still going cheap.

I went the opposite way, I've Until Dawn reserved to pick up after Christmas.

Was tempted to get Evil Within as well.

Dishonored can't be reserved at all. Sold out all over the country. It's also a tenner in smyths but the same thing applies. Why do they put stuff on sale if they don't even have it in stock?

The cynic in me would say its an attempt to bring consumers to the website and hope they would spend cash on other items
