A handy person could make a 'copy' from a cheap motor like a Seat Terra (old Panda van ).

I remember seeing a few of them around Galway in the early 80s, a garage on the Headford road sold them along with Simcas and Chrysler 180s, at the time they looked stylish enough, reliability was another days work.
