Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Well done Hodgson, need to win, takes Sterling off and leaves 2 holding midfielders on - how does the man even get these jobs?

Can't see an England goal here

No idea how he's still on. Probably score now.

I still don't understand the welbeck bashing! Are people seeing what daniel sturridge is doing out there?

It's true. If Italy win their remaining two games, and England beat Costa Rica (big ''if''!), then it'll come down to goal difference. Italy on 9 points, the other three sides on three points each. However, if Italy and Costa Rica draw tomorrow night, then England are gone.

That doctor need to grow a pair. Shame on him and management not insisting he left the pitch. Ref needs to take responsibility too.

It was obvious Hodgson would be found out at the world cup.

England have some very decent players but a clueless manager.

What did they really expect when they appointed Hodgson.

Sterling off and rightly, so poorest out of all the attackers, Welbeck should be next

It looks like Barkley is staying wide right what is Roy at, 433 with Sturridge and Welbeck either side of Rooney is what should be done

    This is bittersweet.

Bitter, because I want England to win so I want Hodgson to cop the feck on and stop being so clueless.

Sweet, because I never have to see Hodgson manage a Liverpool side again.

Sturridge looks sharp. Hes England's only hope.

Try harder next time good chap.

"They could lose this match and with the right combination of results in the final set of matches, they could still go through to the second round... however that has never happened... "

So then it COULDN HAPPEN, George.... ffs

Lallana surely would have been a better option. Barkley isn't effective out wide.

I think Sterling stayed on too long against Italy. Sterling was far superior against Italy but he's been anonymous today.

Sterling has had a poor game because he's hardly had the ball.

People saw him play well the other night. So he can do damage if used properly.

Baines really can't cross a ball.
