Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Both teams struggling to do anything so far

The media have built England up and put Uruguay down too much. I think everyone expected England to walk this

England shouldn't have shunted Sterling to accommodate Rooney.

    Lol Johnson.

    Game needs a goal badly

Ashley Cole must be sitting laughing his head off on crying his eyes out having Banies picked before him.

Baines has been useless so far in both games.

Id love how it would go down to have the guys dressed as crusaders do that in the middle east

England are in the blue kits

Someone mentioned it earlier today, England should have gone with the diamond. Drop Welbeck, bring Lallana or Wilshire in, and leave Rooney and Sturridge up top.

    Suarez doesn't look right.

Johnson will cost England this game. He's so far out of position it's not even funny.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

    Cahill looking well dodge.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭Fuhrer

Has Sterling managed to find a single player with a pass yet?

Completely swarmed every time he has the ball

I hope he's not back too soon

This game is complete toilet. Needs a goal soon.

Suarez channeling his inner Pippo Inzaghi so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

    Brutal game so far.

Urugaury are not in a rush are they?

Could both sides have already decided subconsciously a draw would be better than nowt?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,546 ✭✭✭✭murpho999

    Poor match so far.

Surprised, thought both teams would be really up for it.

    those crusaders never flinched

Suarez won't do anything in this game. He looks in a bad way. Even his run looks dodgy.

Welbeck and Sterling off, Lallana and Wilshere on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

    Suarez doesn't look right.

Still think he's likeliest to pull a moment of magic out to create a goal, especially with the English defence.

    Suarez doesn't look right.

Can't be , I had the meniscus job done on both knees, takes a while to get over it. Won't have any match fitness either.

    Rooney is being owned.

Rooney dawling, not the only one I should say but when he loses it its usually in a dangerous place.

Doesn't matter how ''up for it'' a team (or teams) is. If they haven't got enough players with excellent technical ability, they won't be able to produce decent football. And neither team has enough top drawer players.

His rehab and your rehab were likely very different

    Rooney looks so disinterested...

    Rooney is ****ing woeful

Welbeck and Sterling off, Lallana and Wilshere on.

I don't know how people can tell this from quick glimpses on TV.

An unfit Suarez is still better than most players.

    Oh Welbeck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,316 ✭✭✭kevohmsford

It is looking like Scholes was right about Rooney.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,177 ✭✭✭TheTownie

That pretty much sums up Welbeck's ability.

Just hope he doesn't do any long term damage by being out there so early.

Neither team has a player in midfield that can put their foot on the ball and set up an attack . Its all kick and rush .

Should have been a corner there!

Yes, but also seemed to be played at "not up for it" pace and attitude.

    Godin took Sturridge out.

It is looking like Scholes was right about Rooney.

    What did he say?

    Also, Godin should be walking.
