    Ahem!
    that's technically a 1.4 engine, 20 quid will get you a fair distance, my car is a 2.3 turbo and it gets me from kildare to the city centre and back, and around the local town for a bit, so you'l get a bit more from it :) in short, you can add the miles up and do all this fancy, but i think how i do it is a good way of measuring it :pac:

    Not really! I'm partial to it like! In the garage I'm sort of working in one of the lads asked me did i want tea and i causally go ah no i don't drink tea, two other lads dropped what they were doing :pac:

    Apparently being a tea drinker was one of the job requirements :pac:

    Hi KMQ. I'm newish here, sorry my post freaked you out!

    I'm a total expert on my car's petrol needs, but that won't help you since every one is different! My car's petrol gauge has been broken since I bought it... 10 years ago? ish?, but also I have no idea whether it reads kilometers or miles, since that was fiddled with too. So for me I know I get xx units (km or miles, I don't know which) per litre of petrol I put in. I learned this after years of trial and error! Fill it up, drive a few... units, then fill it up again and try to figure it out from there. After a few goes, you might have a clue. Don't go by cost (that changes), go by litres.

    Then you have to try to figure out the difference between city and country driving... I can't even begin...
