    Hi,

Considering a new job in citywest, what's the commute like from the M9? (a couple of miles off the M9 Athy exit 3) job would probably be 9-5.30 with some flexibility. What's it like getting out of citywest in the evening and is the 3 into 2 lanes at naas a problem?

    thanks.

Getting out of Citywest to the M7 gets hugely more difficult the more roundabouts back on the Citywest Road you are. Can sometimes be quicker to head out the back to the Kingswood Interchange even from the closer roundabouts.

The 3>2 does cause delays in both lanes but I've little experience of how long it takes.

The 3>2 is only really bad on a Friday.
If traffic is stopped it can be quicker to leave M7 & go through Kill/Johnstown, past the ball & rejoining at Woodies, a big naughty but can save you time.
If you know your backroads then you can go Kill > Kill Dump > Beggars End > Punchestown > Twomilehouse Cross > Kilcullen > M9

I travel from Kilcullen to Citywest every day. It normally takes no longer than 30 mins. Fridays are not too bad, bank holiday Fridays however can be a complete nightmare.
