Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have my first interview in 8 years tomorrow morning. I've been lucky and gone from job to job in that time.

    Best of luck

    Yes something like that.

I have not owned or used an ipad or other than the Samsung(s) used other android tablet models so couldn;t talk them down. Its worth having a look around and maybe looking at them in a shop to see what you like. Affordability would be a big selling point for me.

Lots of threads here with similar questions that you would have http://m.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1580

Would a Chromecast be the best option to stream stuff a TV with one of the Samsungs or is there another option? I think I remember my brother telling me he had a USB to HDMi cable he uses to connect to his TV to watch videos.

    Rooster Teeth fans.

Monty Oum has been hospitalized. "Critical care" and "not known if he will recover" were the phrases used to describe his condition. Really sad :(

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,532 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

As a follow up, Monty Oum passed away today :(

Really upset. Usually don't let "celebrity" (so to speak) deaths affect me, but this is a bit like Eddie or Benoit; someone who was a major part of something that provides such massive entertainment on a daily basis. He was someone who always came across like such an awesome, creative and kind guy. He was a massive part of Red vs Blue and Rooster Teeth as a whole.

    Really sad.

Can't say the name rings a bell, then again maybe i'm just blissfully ignorant of ''celebrities''

I use the term "celebrity" in the widest, most general sense; he was the lead animator and creative mind at Rooster Teeth. I don't know what other word to use for someone who is semi-famous on the internet. "Internet celebrity" would probably be better description.

Internet famous is the term, or e-celeb. Really sad to hear about this aswell. Always loved Rooster Teeth and absolutely loved the guys, all of them. I hope they do something for him on the site, I know they are asking for people to be creative instead of sending flowers or donations. Great idea. RIP Monty, it won't be the same without you

Just a load of movie trailers really, was hoping for the Batman vs Superman trailer, alas it didn't appear. Budweiser's Super Bowl ad was on 1 of the many breaks.

I was only seated there once and it was near the back of the top tier. Sound was grand but I couldn't see the drummer which, considering it was Bloc Party, was quite annoying. If there's a big group of yis going I'd prob get in early enough to get seated near the front but that's just me. The sound in the Olympia is great though

Bruce Springsteen coming to Ireland for 2 shows, this will go smoothly unlike a certain Mr. Brooks shenanigans last summer.

    Cheers.

Its for next week Interpol, foolishly never got the ticket until now, it will be on my lonesome.

No, its just a case going through toutless and adverts, trying to decide whether to go for seating or standing tbh.:o

    And not getting ripped off.

Well as i posted in the nocturnal forum we'll know for definite on Friday, Though The Herald gave it away too easily.
A source has told the Herald that the act due to be announced for the Dublin stadium this Friday is “a well-known American musician whose songs include ‘Born in the USA’ and who appeals to all ages”.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 87,392 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

Bruce always puts on one hell of a show, I would imagine tickets will start around 80 euros upwards

Joe.ie literally just posted up an article pretty much confirming Bruce WON'T be playing Croke Park.
