Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Through Irishtown certainly looks shorter, but don't want to get caught unexpectedly by schools, etc.

Leave Drogheda at 7 using the m50 and be there for around 8 or 8.15. Grab a coffee and a paper and relax for an hour

There's always PLC courses available if you don't get the points needed for your preferred college course

I've applied and been accepted to a PLC access route course just incase the CAO goes against me. Either way as long as I get to where I want to be I'll be fine.

Don't mean to nose, but what do ya want to do course wise via the CAO if ya get what you want in the Leaving Cert points wise

And if it goes pear shaped what d'ya have planned via the PLC access course route?

CAO wise, I'm looking to do Law in a couple of universities (UCD, Trin etc.) and if not law political science with geography.

PLC wise I'm looking to do Liberal Arts and see where it goes from there

I'm glad I didn't go over and do that to him now, if that's the reception you got there. I would usually make the hand gesture at someone if I see them in the shirt.

I wouldn't worry about it I'm an idiot and got 500 and worked as a cleaner after, the points really mean very little, scary to think I'm a mature student I could go back and be a doctor or something like that.

I did my leaving cert 6 years ago, I feel old as **** when I say that. I do miss the days of secondary school.

Same here. I always assumed he was about in his mid-twenties. That suggests he has wisdom beyond his years which will hopefully stand him in good stead for the exams.

Best of luck, Hashtag. It's a wonderful feeling of freedom when the last one is done and dusted.

Some advice for you when you go to college, and you dont have to take my advice, but you will thank me later in life if you do.

This is solid office from someone who regrets not doing more in college other than partying and studying for exams, there is more to it!

Try and spend a lot less time on boards/xbox live/youtube/reddit etc., or even delete your account. Use the free time to socialise with flatmates/ erasmus students (seriously I cant stress this enough, erasmus students are great fun, great to network with, and FOREIGN WOMEN WHO LOVE IRISH CHAPS!!)/ other college students. Networking is a big bonus to have later in life which I regret not doing more of while in college.

Make as many friends as possible. USE FACEBOOK!! Its essential in college, in my opinion, to know whats going on where and when. be it study groups, parties, events etc. Great for keeping in touch with and creeping on a girl you sucked the face off the night before while hammered and hoping she isnt a big un!

Play the field ;) get with as many women as you can while in college, its the only time of your life where you really have the chance and everyone is doing the same! It opens your mind up and you get it out of your system early in life. You dont want to have a midlife crisis later in life from not exploring the opposite sex enough :pac:

Try and not get involved in a relationship is more advice Id give. It can affect your studies, nevermind if you break up. Also your too young to be tied down :P

Get involved in sports/join a gym. Nothing needs to be said there. You gain nothing from spending your free time playing computer games in college regardless if its with mates or browsing facebook/boards etc, even though so many do it. You gain loads from being active through college. Builds your confidence, helps you study better, gives you more energy etc.

Get involved in clubs/societies. Same as above.

Party till the sun comes up some days! Try and remember this when your feeling too tired to go out some night/meet up with mates etc.: You can sleep when your older, but you only get one shot at youth. Theres nothing like chilling with mates after a heavy night discussing crap like no tomorrow. You will never forget those moments.

I still fondly remember my college years the odd time while reminiscing with mates. Its the best time of your life (people who say secondary school is clearly didnt go to college or do it properly).

Sorry for the big post, but Im so jealous of people who are going into college fresh, so much I wish I had the chance to do it all again. And here I am in my mid twenties, pining for the college lifestyle again but alas its gone.

Thanks very much everyone. Lots of uncertainty flying about tomorrow over whether Vince Russo plans to swerve me on the paper.

Being over six foot has always been a help to people thinking I'm a bit/lot older too :D

Thanks for all the advice too Charlie. Already been working on a few of those things (mainly Facebook, Gym/sports and I've been involved with a whole rake of networking and youth politics/human rights events)

Champions League final this evening. If either team wins it they get the treble plus I think it's Xavi and Pirlo's last game for their respective teams which makes it more interesting.

Paddy of the Power family gained a few quid from Rakitic scoring first I'd say!

Barca are all over Juve, it's gonna take a lot of luck for the Italians to get back level at this rate.

Edit: Well then, speak of the devil.

If I was to buy something from the WWE online shop, would the Euro one be better, or the US one? I guess the main question I have is, does the Euro one screw you as hard as the US one with a customs charge?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,512 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

In theory, there should be no custom charges on anything bought in the European zone, right?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Music Moderators, Regional Midlands Moderators Posts: 24,126 Mod ✭✭✭✭Angron

Yeah, I was thinking that's the theory behind it. Think I'll wind up using the US store anyway, the sale offer there is buy one, get one free, Euro one is 40% off. It's not too bad if you're getting two shirts, looking at about 53-54 euro I reckon so it could be worse.

Plus the Euro shop is woefully stocked, one of the Dean Ambrose shirts only comes in sizes XXL-5XL.

I tried the US one before but they don't ship to Ireland.

Fairly sure they do; I got a Finn Balor shirt from it a few weeks back.
