Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They did it last world cup as well lol

Nearly won the thing too. I wouldn't be surprised if they upset New Zealand wouldn't be the first time. Parra back in helps & VERY little is expected of them.

Anyone else finding boards running slowly today? I got a new modem and it runs SUPER FAST (Virgin Media, €45/m) but boards is taking forever to load.

It is a bit laggy for me, then again the new version of Boards did go live today, so that would explain the lagging.

Boards has been near unusable in the last month. Free site and all but my interest was waning as it was.

The touch version works pretty well.

Wow, France got battered by New Zealand.

  • Registered Users Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

France weren't battered, they were Humiliated. Ireland dodged a bullet if i'm being honest.

France gave up, as they historically do :). But yeah NZ on that form are unstoppable.

Got screwed out of Bet365 for a cash-in. Couldn't cash-in after the Wales match (I won) and couldn't cash in at all on my phone between FT on RSA-WA and any of the All Blacks game. Utter bollocks.

As enjoyable as the RWC is, it's a bit sad looking at the last few tournaments and seeing 6 or 7 countries always getting through to the knock-outs. Poor Italy are the only 6 Nations team never to get into the knock-out phases (since the switch to pools of 5, they've finished with a record of 2-2 every time).

Edit: Huh, France's loss today was their biggest ever loss in rugby. New Zealand's biggest ever loss on the other hand: 28-7.

Happy enough with that tbh, won't be easy though.

Should be a good game today vs Argentina. Def will be a lot close than yesterday where the all blacks showed why their favorites and made the french their biatches. Big game for madigan again as well hopefully he can have a similar game to last week

Ireland in trouble early on :(

    Argentina really impressing.

    Bowe out injured now too

Since they have joined the Tri Nations they seem to have improved a lot despite retirements. Classic case of steel sharpens steel.
Needed that try as we are getting bossed all over the pitch so far.

O yeah they are def much better these days and that try was absolutely massive. Not only score wise but for confidence and belief. Far too many penalties being given away though but at least after being 17-0 down they have gotten themselves back into the game albeit still a huge task ahead of them

Btw Sean O'Brien looks well into that Supermacs burger....hope that ad is broadcast worldwide.
Bad miss by Madigan there only 3 points but still. Argentina are gaining way too many yards from carries

The opening minutes were like Lesnar vs Cena.

biggest comeback ever in world cup history? no not getting ahead of myself but we believe now!

great start ot the 2nd half

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,611 ✭✭✭✭ERG89

Devastating try to concede just there. 13 points in 10 minutes :(

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,823 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

yeah so often they have had an overlap we were bound to be punished, combined with the amount of kickable penalties weve given em and weve given ourselves a mountain to climb

It's bollocks that one of the two Argentinian players didn't get sin binned. In particular the diving tackle should have been straight off.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,823 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

    game over :(

another QF loss and an all southern hemisphere Semi Final lineup (sorry scots)

How their 3 stayed on is a mystery.
    Imhoff is some wing tbf

The players missing, the fact that Argentina rested their 1st team last week, the non cards (in particular the red) have made this very very hard but... Argentina have been very good

    Just outclassed on the day.

Big reality check for the Northern Hemisphere, this weekend.

Best of luck to Argentina. Hope they get to the final now.

Tbh France have been terrible for 4 years now (they haven't finished in the top 3 of the 6 Nations during that time) so I hope they wake up. But yeah your right about the gulf in class.
Argentina deserve that semi final & bar a huge upset I can't wait to see them play Australia. Their back play now is so much more dynamic as big an improvement as Australia's scrum
