Wasn't expecting to pass due to maths but I did. Am a long way down the list though so wont be holding my breath! Just delighted I passed!

I'm in shock that I passed the Maths. Convinced I hadn't even answered enough of the questions.

    I'm placed in the 70s for Longford/Leitrim/Sligo and 30s for Westmeath/Offaly/Laois.

    Very happy!

I'm surprised you are so much higher in Longford Sligo Leitrim as it has a population of 135,000 compared with 240,000 for Westmeath Offaly Laois.

Longford/Leitrim/sligo people must be more intelligent.

    I didn't think they'd called anyone yet for Westmeath/Offaly/Laois?

Don't know, I had applied for both areas. Not sure how that works.

    Smart casual

    Deduction is

    3% of gross +
3.5% of gross -2x OAP rate
Also pay PRD but you will never see a cent of that!

so just say for convenience say annual is 20k,

    so deduction is (3% x 20 k) + (3.5% x 20k) - (2 x OAP rate)?

All those deductions come off before income tax and PRSI presumably?

I didn't know about PRD, so thanks, I just looked it up there.

The process, although fair is long.
I'm always fearful that they will stop just before they get to me.
We made it this far I suppose Lenny.
I've yet to tell my boss, eek.
I don't want him to be in too much of a shock if I quit and ask for a reference 10 mins later.

Fingers crossed they get to us soon. The waiting game is tough. I actually just askwd my boss for a reference this afternoon. She knew I was looking elsewhere so wasn't shocked thank god!

Well done to you..I am placed 108 so at best will be in for a long wait..Dont know if they will have that many vacancies in Carlow/kilkenny to reach me, I suppose it depends on how long they keep the panel open for.

Or how many would you expect them to call to interview stage?

I done well on verbal and numerical was my best but error checking let me down a bit.

If you dont mind me asking what was your total combined score from the 3 areas just curious to see what score top 20 or so is in comparison to my own

    These were my scores:
    Verbal Reasoning 507
    Numerical 648
    Checking Information test 528

I'm not sure how many will be called to interview stage, like you I can't imagine there being too many jobs in Kilkenny / Carlow........I just hope they don't decide to just call the top 20 !!

I am early nine hundreds and start next week. Have you been allocated a department and are just waiting on a start date, or have you not heard anything at all?
I am sure they know what they are doing, maybe they have something special lined up for you?
Maybe a quick email just to put your mind at rest?
