Anything but an Italy win here puts England out. They need Italy to beat Costa Rica and Uruguay and for themselves to beat Costa Rica by two clear goals.

Need Italy to win, and then Italy to beat Uruguay too. At the same time they may beat Costa Rica by a few goals maybe depending on goal difference. All very unlikely really.

A win for Italy only works. If Costa Rica win or draw they are basically through. Italy play Uruguay in the last game so both teams could draw that game and England are out aswell.

Italy need to beat both Costa Rica and Uruguay. England need to beat Costa Rica and hope there goal difference is better than Uruguay or Costa Ricas
