What can I say? This is what the World Cup is about. Incredible scenes at the end. Fully deserved by Costa Rica. No matter how much FIFA try to wreck football, you still have to keep coming back to it for moments like this.

I'm a little bit emotional tbh, we used to see Ireland giving us moments like this, and as much as I like Italy, I was rooting for Costa Rica, and in the end, they were in fact comfortable.

One of the great World Cup wins, fair play Costa Rica.

Looking through the teams before the tournament for potential dark horses, I never would have even considered Costa Rica, not only because of the group they're in but I didn't think they had the players to cause any damage. The first group ever to feature 3 past winners I believe, and the minnows look like coming out on top, an incredible achievement.
