Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has a ref ever changed his mind because of player protests.
    Why do they do it.

I've heard pundits say before that a great captain keeps pressure on the referee when a decision is made against them, so that next time there is a 50/50 he might give the decision in their favour. No referee wants people to think he favours one side.

I suppose the crowds are as drunk as they are mental. Great atmosphere

They all deserved a yellow.. This is the first ref I've seen give one when they all crowd him..

and he didn't even give it for the harrassment but for the handball

Great effort by Bengtson on the turn.

Fair play for staying up, but if he goes down the defender could have no objections.

Good to see Caicedo being honest, his manager might think he was too honest.

Honduras giving Italy a run for their money in offsides.

Anyone else find it bizarre that the Ecuadorian team has almost all black players yet all their fans are white ?
It seems Afro-Ecuadorians only account for 4-6% of the population but make up the majority of the football team.

Tippy-Tappy can be boring and braindead too from time to time. As long as football is played with passion, purpose and with a viable plan then i personally have no problem.

Not really. The 'black' part of Ecuador is extremely poor.

Every game I bet the under on cards have the softest ones ever given out.

Only this minute since you brought this to my attention. Is it like South Africa ala Rugby or Soccer or is it just coincidence?

I suppose perhaps it could also possibly be that certain demographics play and excel at football in Ecuador better than others?

Hard to know but interesting observation nonetheless

Should have been a penalty. Defender all over Costly.

That just evens it up, should have been on eat the other end as well.

Hondurans might be tiring I think, and with them having to push up they could get caught on the break over the last ten minutes.

    And another yellow...

Ecuador are filled with almost Pepe level idiots.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

The fcuk. Costly pushed him and Montero gets the yellow for squaring up to him?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,672 ✭✭✭ScummyMan

    This is fierce entertaining stuff!

    :p

Well it was a treble with Ecuador to win and over 9 corners and 5 yellows was the line, so otherwise I needed 6 or more. Honduras have held up their end, two soft yellows and Ecuador being just flat out stupid has not. Only a €2 free bet. Have €17 on Ecuador I think I might cash out early now.

Honduras threatening a lot and creating chances, but no one finishing.

"They've been a lot more solid since scoring their second goal, Ecuador"

What match are you watching, Brian?

    damn ref!

Full time, Ecuador win 2 - 1. Poor old Eder Valencia thought he had the hat trick.

Poor football, but quite a cracking game actually!

That was much better than some of the other late KOs we've been subjected to.

    Deserved win for Ecuador.
