Hello, I have been banned from the above mentioned forum with my first post I am a new user to boards.ie I inadvertently advertised a service and created a poll without knowing that this was not allowed I believe a complete ban from this group is excessive. I wish to appeal as I have written to the moderator and he refused…

You are correct, the mod did make a mistake banning you from the forum. What he should actually have done is reported you to the admins so you could be sitebanned for advertising. So considering you got off lightly, I'm leaving the forum ban in place but I won't siteban you.
